@@emma4628 obviously his comment triggered something in you so aren't you getting defensive as well, the gay community gets just as defensive about this stuff as the straight, if there's not enough gay or bisexual romances the gay community is up in arms which is why in games now, there is more bisexual and even gay romances then there is straight which I for one don't care as long as the straight story line is a little intriguing.I think everyone here understands that Cassandra is not a real person and is programmed to go a certain path. You're saying all these straight people are complaining about they're not being enough straight characters which no one has said in this comment section. Stop trying to bait people into a argument or conversation about gay people and straight people.
@@emma4628 I think part of the issue is pandering which can be annoying and off putting if you are out side of the special interest group they are pandering to; and it also takes away from the realism, Besides from an event for people who are bi what are the odds that 5 or 6 strangers who come from different backgrounds and experiences are all bi. Than when there are already gay and Bi characters and people whine that the straight characters should be gay or bi seems kind of exclusionary to heterosexuals because they never say who should than be made heterto sexual to keep the balance. Also people feel strongly about character and how they are depicted (I am one of those people who care about that, and things like continuity which this game had a few issues with) and their characteristic and don't want them to change based on other peoples sensibilities, If people where complaining about Ellie from Last of us being gay and want her to be straight I would be defensive about that Just like I am when it comes to Cassandra and her being Hetero. Lastly I love making characters for table top role playing games and before the pencil hits the paper I have my character's look, personality, sexual orientation, back story, goals, ambitions, and what they would do after the campaign in my head and if some one would say that the character is wrong based on those thing I would be pissed so when people do that to the developers I get pissed on their behalf which is abit dumb admittedly; Also keep this in mind most people don't want to be involved in the culture wars so when you push it on them that does make people annoyed and possibly hostile.

A woman who may , talk about you while laying with her new lover after your death , just because she needs a man to sweep of her feet 🤣🤣🤣 what a goal you have 🤣🤣🤣
This romance was totally unexpected coming from bioware, a woman who faithfully believes in the maker. Tough on the outside, focused on justice to make the world a better place, all that focus and drive, creating a void with most relationships, It's meant to be akward, because the way she grew up was empty of relationship especially after her brother died. Just a nice bonus, I think Cassandra is well written/created character. I wouldn't mind playing a dlc of a part of her story. A few things that didn't make sense and we're out of character were having sex before marriage, you'd think she would wait given her piousness, and not wanting to marry after all they've been through. Lol
it was a case of so close and yet so far. they didn't want her to be a no sex before marriage type because that is a chrisian ideal, and that's something they didn't want the fan favorite romance to involve because there's some political weaponizing going on behind the scenes. they even went as far as instead of her being all sweet on you after the sex she starts talking about her dead ex boyfriend, like they really pulled out the mental gymnastics to try to fit that scene in it read like a bad tinder profile. this is why politics should stay out of gaming I don't know any people who weren't pissed off by some of the blatant bullshit that started happening in bioware. from diversity hires to goofy writing made to fuel some narrative or another. dorian was a great example don't get me wrong I love him as a character he's very interesting, but the whole gay mage with unaccepting parents is an obvious meme. this game gets so many things right but the things that really touch on the emotions they completely pissed on them. the most memorable thing about this game was the gameplay, the combat and the music. the bioware and dragon age franchises carried the game really hard with what good will they had left. another issue was how because they couldn't be bothered with making variations in size for races cassandra ended up looking like the body of an archer or mage. look at her small shoulders and arms and her body in general. it's not the body of someone who has 15+ years experience as a soldier. I mean they gave sera a human body to reflect her human upbringing, she was more buxom than the average elf. they really could have done well giving cassandra more of a qunari body so that she looked like a warrior. you can tell they messed up with it because of how awkward she looks when she's walking and wielding her sword in a lot of those scenes. she's walking like someone who isn't some delicate flower, but her body model looks the part so it ends up looking fairly awkward. if they wanted her to be an amazon they needed to give her the qunari model body so it actually looked like she could handle the weapons and armor you were giving her. instead they decided to put more resources into making her come across as borderline autist. not that there's anything wrong with autism it's just that they did her wrong imo.
@@valesauce7235 old comment but I have to disagree on the best parts of the game. I played this game and dlc on xbox way back and the gameplay, combat, and open world was completely forgettable. The music is fantastic but what carried the game was its writing and characters.
@@valesauce7235 I somewhat agree yes. The characters are written well, and they have their own moments that make them really great. The interaction between them is honestly one of the better ones I've seen in games. But they do try to force some kind of idea sometimes and it's glaringly obvious too, so you got this incredibly interesting characters that have a very basic cliché latch unto them. It doesn't trouble me much I just sometimes found it funny because it doesn't happen too often. But yeah I agree, probably shouldn't have tried to bring politics into the game. Or atleast if you do try to make it more subtle next time.
Not just that... but Cassandra started off despising the future Inquisitor before eventually growing to care for him. Hell, for extra reference, you could make the Inquisitor be a two-hander and give him the Guts look. Just... feels similar.
I played as a female character. And as her friend, Cassandra is one of my favourite characters. She's fierce, straight, and so damn hot with her armor and all that anger! I was hoping her an affair with Varric, LOL =D
@@redskybluecherry Same here. Cassandra is one of my favourite characters, but even when I play with a male Inquisitor, he can never romance her, because I ship her too much with Varric. (Also that's why I wasn't angry because Varric didn't become a love interest in the third game. I could totally imagine him with a sarcastic femHawke, because their friendship was already so dinamic and beautiful. But from Inquisition, I can't imagine him with anyone beside Cassandra :D)

39:00 Writing mostly consists of learning by reading and for non-fiction writing what you see, you don't have to be a philosopher to do that, and Cassandra's upbringing as a warrior would probably mean she could give a precise idea of what happened. And its clear she reads a lot, at least in Varric's case.
The way she was reading Varrics book on the Inquisition after finishing Trespasser, she was so fangirling even the part about her that was soooo exaggerated, she’s so cute sometimes 😋
I so wanted her to tell you she was pregnant when she said that thing about needing to sit down. I want Cassandra as a mom who is a complete hardass to her troops only to do a 180 becoming sweet and nurturing whenever her child enters the room, being a completely supportive mother. "You are a disgrace to your uniform!...Oh hi sweety! Mommy is working right now. Oh, you made this yourself? It's so beautiful! Mommy is going to put it right here where everyone can see. Now go find daddy, tell him mommy said you can have a sweet. Now where was I? A complete disgrace to the uniform! If you had half the talent in your entire body my baby girl has in her pinky maybe you'd amount to something worth a damn!" lol

I saw/played almost all the romances and I can't help thinking of how bloody brilliant is this game's script. I was doubtful the first time I played, much conditioned from my love for DAO, but I surrendered: this is a masterpiece. Is not only a matter of "romantic scenes", is the way they truly spot on every character's soul and the different spirit that affects atmosphere, settings, events. The direction of every scene is great, it perfectly catches these differences, is a "movie" apart, not just a matter of dialogues. You truly live every aspect of this adventure with them. I'd give my left hand to work on something like this, just because I need the right one to write. 😂
I've always wondered how both Leliana and Cassandra (right AND left hand of Justinia) failed to be at the conclave when it blew. It seems for such an important event, at least one of them would have been in attendance.
Justinia ordered them to go build the Inquisition as a backup in case the conclave failed, which is why they were gone right before the conclave. They were actually in Kirkwall looking for Hawke for him to become inquisitor, but ended up recruiting Cullen and Varric instead. Since they spent so much time looking for Hawke, they were late to the conclave and arrived right after it exploded and ended up having to clean up the mess with the small inquisition that they built by then. Vivienne asks this in party banter and that's what Cassandra tells her.
"This woman chained me up, dragged me across demon-infested wasteland, wanted my head on a plate and could probably beat the tar out of me before breaking a sweat. So, anyway I planned to marry her one day." - Naderiel Trevelyan about Cassandra. "This woman flirted dangerously with me, found pleasure in my company while also hating the idea of getting closer. She could cheat a man out of any treasure just as easily as she could kill him and stole an ancient artefact before leaving me to almost die at the hands of a Qunari Arishok. So, anyway I became her first mate." - Eidard Hawke about Isabela. "This woman wanted nothing to do with me, before being forced to face unparalleled danger by her mother. She hated everything and everyone and was quite adamant to not start something even a friendship. Everything was a feelingless means to an end and I'm pretty sure she wanted to kill my entire party and would have if we weren't necessary to save the world. So, anyway I started a family with her." - Torril Cousland, Warden Commander of Ferelden about Morrigan. Moral of the story: Dangerous women of Thedas are intriguing.
Love Cassandra! I wish there was a lot more content and there is a lot, but 1 hour vs like 60 hours of gameplay, another hour of content would have been great!

Unless its Dorian, Dorian is my main man and always will be 😂
I like that she was the only straight male inquisitor romance option available because it forces the viewer to see women as something other than feminine and gentle. She is hot-headed, for lack of a better word, but there are other dimensions to her. She is sophisticated, she is independent, she follows the rules but deep down she just wants to be "swept off her feet". Thank you BioWare, for creating the most diverse cast I've ever seen in a game, not just in race and sexuality but also in body, mind, and soul.
Cassandra , in addition to being a tsundere, seems like the loyal wife material ( the "ride or die " type is how they say it, I think ) a sharp contrast to Isabella, who seems like she would leave him if better opportunity arises( not blaming her, life is short, so better if she lives it witout regrets) Merryl is( just my impression from going over the walkthroughs that i saved ) the yandere type. Meaning she starts out shy or timid, gradually shows interest and then becomes so enamored that death would be considered the proper response to any kind of indiscretion ... her white outfit was kind of a turn on too ... the other characters are interesting to court ( Fenris and Anders, in particular) but too volatile or not convincing enough, the latter could have been fixed by developping their love story more.
Merrill is more kuudere than Yandere. Shes always awkward around hawke like hinata. I think youre letting the blood magic thing taint the dere judgement.
Your Inquisitor looks surprisingly alot like mine. I can't remember too well, but might it be that this face is close to one of the presets? I know I altered mine abit, but it might be that this one is one of the base faces that you just start out from.
Extrema 123321 I wish they had allowed you to flirt with Morrigan or Leliana in Inquisition, based on Origins romance. My Hero of Ferelden, Morrigan & Kieran are a happy family in my canon.
Man, i really like Cassandra very much but when I got to the romance scene and heard that she had a man (mage ) before , who died and she's talking about him while sleeping with you , means if you die and she gets another man better then you she'll talk about (dead you ) while sleeping with him, BRAVO What a love
And , even then keeping faith that she wouldn't do that to me , I supported her in becoming divine but if you tell her at victory party , That if she becomes divine then they won't able to be together , she still gives up your love and choose to be divine BRAVO AGAIN
@@bossshun9 Oh, I meant no offense or anything! 😳 the inquisitor's looks really does remind me a lot of Reyes since he's my favorite from Andromeda (besides Jaal and Vetra)
Cassandra I imagine is the type of woman who if the internet existed in Thedas would've written an unhealthy amount of fanfics about the characters in Swords and Shields and then any negative reviews she gets she sweet talks romanced Inquisitor into asking Leliana to find out who they are and where they live and well I'm sure you can figure out the rest :-)
Jacob Reynolds Cass & Josephine? Aye, been mostly genderbending Qunari for the majority of my playthroughs, Vivienne is a bit of a wasted Oportunity though
You know, I just realised that straight dudes really did get screwed in DAI... and not in a good way :T Straight girls have 4(!) romance options, while men only got what, 2? (plus the dwarwen scout, I suppose... but it barely counts) Tsk-tsk-tsk, Bioware
Daria the Lazy Let’s have a rundown of each game in regards to romance with some explanation for Inquisition: Origins: two women for straight men, two men for straight women, one man for gay men and one woman for gay women. DA2: two women for straight men, two men for straight women and everyone is bisexual. Then straight women got a third option (Sebastian) with dlc who became a permanent party member while straight men and gay women got a third option (Tallis) who was completely relegated to dlc and wasn’t a permanent party member, big oof there BioWare. Inquisition: two women for straight men, four men for straight women, one man for gay men and one woman for gay women. So, why do straight women get more options? Because BioWare were given additional development time and decided to make Cullen and Solas romanceable, originally it would’ve been the same as Origins in regards to options but then Cullen and Solas got added in, both were also originally planned to be bisexual options, with Cullen and the male Inquisitor even having a few lines recorded with them being together and all that goodness, Solas got made straight because him being bi apparently wouldn’t have made much sense story wise or something. Perhaps the next game will be a bit more like Origins in regards to romance.

People were upset over her? huh I never heard of that, I was more confused as to why her and Josie didn't end at the Alter as well in Tresspasser.
The way the inquisitor keeps laughing at her is very cute 💕 17:25
I love that scout Harding is on the last scene :3 she's a delight to talk to whenever starting a new location
Fire?
"My feelings for elfroot are classified, Scout Harding."
I'll be honest, everytime I think of Inky, I see yours as the "default" option. I love the way he looks x3
Agreed, he's one of the handsomest of all the male inquisitors I've seen on TH-cam.
I know right? Ever since watching these videos I’m always surprised when I see the actual default human male Inquisitor because I’m expecting to see this one.
“It’s literature... smutty literature,”
My exact words were “Jesus Christ why am I not ********* surprised!”
Kinda hard to explain that one to my friend
Find yourself a woman like Cassandra = Top 3 Life Goals
Wanna some... domination?)
That is one too goal. A woman who keeps to her ideals and passionate about having the future be reshaped for the better.
A woman who may , talk about you while laying with her new lover after your death , just because she needs a man to sweep of her feet 🤣🤣🤣 what a goal you have 🤣🤣🤣
She was with him when she was young and that's all.
«"The Inquisitor was hilarious." That's what they'll say one day, you watch»
- Seeker Cassandra Pentaghast, multiple occasions.
A good humor can fix some issues. And relieve pressure too.
I call it her being like any other human. She has needs and yes, they were blocked out by many other duties; however, she didn't mind.
Reading this made wanna dive back into the game.
16:36 bit late, love the game but that man got a mouth full of SHIELD
That guy really just got bitch slaped with a shield lol
For some reason, this romance reminds me a lot of the relationship that Guts and Casca had in the Golden Age Arc of Berserk.
I know exactly what you mean. Hell Cassandra's hair is even similar to cascas
Nice reference
My thoughts exactly!
Not just that... but Cassandra started off despising the future Inquisitor before eventually growing to care for him.
Hell, for extra reference, you could make the Inquisitor be a two-hander and give him the Guts look.
Just... feels similar.
Yep all that needed was a griffith.
Awww. There’s so much amazing banter when you are out adventuring together 🥰
Yes, there is when you bring the right person with you.
I played as a female character. And as her friend, Cassandra is one of my favourite characters. She's fierce, straight, and so damn hot with her armor and all that anger! I was hoping her an affair with Varric, LOL =D
As interesting as that would be, i prefer VarricXBianca
Tethraghast ftw lol
YES! I ship Cassandra and Varric so hard!
Makes me want to make a male character for a playthrough. Cas is so adorable.
Yes, she still is.
I dissolved the Inquisition but seeing that post credit scene and finding we are now a covert organisation...it gave me shivers.
Zain Hartono Ah, even in a medieval, alternate reality, there's still some secret organization pulling the strings from the shadows.
Zain Hartono I did that too. I was like, what the hell is this now? lol
Maybe that is the future. Forget being a superpower. It should be an organization that only comes into view when the world is in real danger.
Ex bf is a mage
My DA protags are always mages cuz i LOVE that cosmic irony that a mage always has to save the damn world.
My Quizzy was an Elf too. Ameridan gave me that respect

Writing mostly consists of learning by reading and for non-fiction writing what you see, you don't have to be a philosopher to do that, and Cassandra's upbringing as a warrior would probably mean she could give a precise idea of what happened. And its clear she reads a lot, at least in Varric's case.
I never liked romance stuff...
Till i saw dragon age franchise....goddam so deep
Play mass effect. The romances in there are just as amazing. They are both made by bioware
@@misacrazycat6094 tali all the way
@@arturocesena7308 oh yeah. Tali is at the top for alien romances. So, it was hard to not want her.
The way she was reading Varrics book on the Inquisition after finishing Trespasser, she was so fangirling even the part about her that was soooo exaggerated, she’s so cute sometimes 😋
The most disloyal romance after Miranda bioware created 😂
"is that what you want?"
"no"
...
"I take it back"
sadgfghfgjhyg
I was thinking, "Really, now you wanna take it back?!" Ugh 🚶🏾♂️🚶🏾♂️😂😂
Recites. Recites! 🤣
We need someone to draw that
There'll be plenty of time for that after saving solas
Seeing a woman like Cassandra settled down would be a beautiful sight. Her smiling and holding a child of the inquisitor. The story would be amazing.
Yeah, I think people Just romance her because of her look's and her sweet talking voice and ascent..... But she's just opposite in her character most untrustworthy...... Once romanced utterly bad in her relationship, she doesn't even love's you (never tells you ) uses you to have a try to become divine .
Yet people romance her 😂😂
What person doesn't love shitty poetry.
Of shitty poems, that was one of the better one's I've heard😆
That poem is a good choice and look what it did. She smiled harder than before.
He died at the conclave (my inner thoughts): Good job
Yeah, that moment was nearly ruined but we get what she meant. Just awkward to hear someone say that after sharing a lovely moment with someone.
@@bossshun9 Come one man, she confessed her body count right after having slept with you, imagine modern women doing that
Someone getting their next edition of Lusty Argonian Maid.
unclr crassius strikes again!!
I disbanded the Inquisition when given the choice. Better to restart than to leave it bloated and corruptible, I always figured.
A good method for some organizations. Better they break up and reform when only the world needs them. That way, you see who cares to come back.
Cassandra: a weight such as yours would break the Sunburst throne
Tristin: I'm not that fat!
When I played the game I never experienced the part with Varric’s books. Hilarious.
I wish I knew this type of love. Maybe not in this life, but something beyond that. :)
I feel like if something happened to you like if you got kidnapped Cassandra would go berserk and stop at nothing to get you back
"No!" *slam*
*unslam* "Yes!"
I love that part. It was straight out of a sitcom. Silly but worth it.
I love that she's tough and aggressive but romantic on the inside
Character Depth!!! Gotta love it.
She is just a big ole softy. All that needs to be done is give her push.
@@shadowofhawk55 yeah worst personality (in Romance) and character hopefully Josie was there.
Guys guys I just noticed this but cassandras shoulder pads have little hearts
Love the mods and everything looks amazing.
I've always wondered how both Leliana and Cassandra (right AND left hand of Justinia) failed to be at the conclave when it blew. It seems for such an important event, at least one of them would have been in attendance.
tmccabe72 they said they were hunting a leader for the inquisition that Justinia wanted to kick off
@@Rogue-ww2nw they were looking for hawke
Justinia ordered them to go build the Inquisition as a backup in case the conclave failed, which is why they were gone right before the conclave. They were actually in Kirkwall looking for Hawke for him to become inquisitor, but ended up recruiting Cullen and Varric instead. Since they spent so much time looking for Hawke, they were late to the conclave and arrived right after it exploded and ended up having to clean up the mess with the small inquisition that they built by then. Vivienne asks this in party banter and that's what Cassandra tells her.
Justinia sent them away to find the greywarden or hawke to help mediate the conclave. Their own mission basically saved them.
Is it weird I'm jealous of Cassandra? I love the British male Inquisitor's voice. He could read the phone book, and I'd be drooling.
This is a year late but..👏 yes!
I loved the romance with Cassandra but would never fall for her in real life, I do love strong and intelligent women but she is a bit too rigid.
I really didn’t expect her to be this cute.
Her waistband makes little sense for her outfit as a standalone but it looks an awful lot like Tali's robe.
Love Cassandra! I wish there was a lot more content and there is a lot, but 1 hour vs like 60 hours of gameplay, another hour of content would have been great!
your Inqusitor is so handsome! It fits this romance
Inquisitor:is that what you want?
Cassandra:NO *slams door in your face
Inquisitor:oh well guess it’s Josephine
Inquisitor: "Are you sure you want it?"
@Facepalm Full O' Napalm Nah, no one choose's a girl who will go to another man one's inquisitor doe's and talk about him while lying with another man.🥱.
And jossi she's my little jossie, Cass is a no match
Cassandra re: Swords and Shields (*cough* Aveline) is all of us re: spoilers
Julia Maaño I laughed my ass off.
I'm loving the outfits.
lol im done with the inquisitor in this romance wtffff, ive only ever romanced Dorian, Iron Bull, and Josephine but this one makes me just die laughing honestly like its cute but honestly really funny bevause of the poetry and candles part, mainly because I can’t with romantic things. Unless its Dorian, Dorian is my main man and always will be 😂
It is corny with the romantic part of the candles, blanket, and poetry; however, that makes it worth seeing.
Cassandra Tsundere xddd
All I could focus on was Cassandra writing with her left hand.
Cringe
Even when going for the romancing option for Cass I had to protect my main man Varric
Cassandra is so soft. What a babe.
Note to game developers: Always fade to black!
It's a shame I like playing as a elf female because I'd love to romance Cassandra
Human Nobleborn Warrior & fair Warrior Woman of royal lineage! :D
He's a rogue.
Rogue or not, I'll still hit it. 😆😆
31:50 Ah,.....Varic I am pretty sure Aveline wants to either punch or hug you
at the ending, is that a long braided hair I see. 1:14:40
Cassandra , in addition to being a tsundere, seems like the loyal wife material ( the "ride or die " type is how they say it, I think ) a sharp contrast to Isabella, who seems like she would leave him if better opportunity arises( not blaming her, life is short, so better if she lives it witout regrets)
Merryl is( just my impression from going over the walkthroughs that i saved ) the yandere type.
Good view on each character but it depends on what you love about them.
I wish the inquisitor would do more than stand awkwardly when being bowed Down to. Strike a pose or something.
No offense, but your Inquisitor looks like my aunt. And no that's not a compliment.
I'd say you insulted your aunt more than you insulted the inquisitor.
chapacoka Well that is a necessary sacrifice ;)

Kenshi SSGSS damn straight boyooo!
I can't take these romance videos seriously when they pick the "Tom Hiddleston at home" voice actor.
Your Inquisitor looks surprisingly alot like mine. I can't remember too well, but might it be that this face is close to one of the presets? I know I altered mine abit, but it might be that this one is one of the base faces that you just start out from.
Stop at 59:38. Cassandra just dislocated her shoulder. Ouch...
The best romances were Solas and Josephine. I liked how the latter have you duel a prétendant (pardon my orlesian)
Cole interjecting in instead of Dorian about Varrics book is better in my opinion
29:31 is that Wattpad your on about?!?!? XD

I would love to have morrigan to flirt with in this game :/
Extrema 123321 I wish they had allowed you to flirt with Morrigan or Leliana in Inquisition, based on Origins romance. My Hero of Ferelden, Morrigan & Kieran are a happy family in my canon.
yee it would be great
Man, i really like Cassandra very much but when I got to the romance scene and heard that she had a man (mage ) before , who died and she's talking about him while sleeping with you , means if you die and she gets another man better then you she'll talk about (dead you ) while sleeping with him, BRAVO What a love
And , even then keeping faith that she wouldn't do that to me , I supported her in becoming divine but if you tell her at victory party
, That if she becomes divine then they won't able to be together , she still gives up your love and choose to be divine BRAVO AGAIN
You know, your Inquisitor looks an awful-lot like Reyes from Mass Effect Andromeda... Freakin' love it xD
Lmao holy shit. That is cold but Reyes forehead is a bit more and the jaw makes them different.
@@bossshun9 Oh, I meant no offense or anything! 😳 the inquisitor's looks really does remind me a lot of Reyes since he's my favorite from Andromeda (besides Jaal and Vetra)

Never played a single title in this franchise and as soon as I saw Cass my first impression was a more badass deadly Curie from fallout 4 lol
ah yes my favorite tomboy warrior waifu
If your not gay there hardly any options in DAI, would love a Qunari woman
Dragon Age always has two options for straight men.
Jacob Reynolds Cass & Josephine? Aye, been mostly genderbending Qunari for the majority of my playthroughs, Vivienne is a bit of a wasted Oportunity though
You know, I just realised that straight dudes really did get screwed in DAI... and not in a good way :T
Straight girls have 4(!) romance options, while men only got what, 2? (plus the dwarwen scout, I suppose... but it barely counts)
Tsk-tsk-tsk, Bioware
Daria the Lazy Let’s have a rundown of each game in regards to romance with some explanation for Inquisition:
Origins: two women for straight men, two men for straight women, one man for gay men and one woman for gay women.
