    My biggest take away:
    1. Knowledge is power.
    2. Know your numbers. Data Analytics is critical.
    3. Challenge society norms. Don't take no for an answer.
    4. Partner with the right people. Relationships can make the impossible possible!!!
    5. Growth!! Start small and keep on moving.

I heard once that Not knowing is why some or many make it…. Even if you feel you are smarter sometimes it is just that, which holds us back, being raised here in the USA we are aware of all the what if’s ..! We are aware of all the horror stories with landlord tenant situations etc etc… so it is the knowing that stops us… Not knowing sometimes is your ticket because they move fwd fully believing this will be easy… when we know all the horror stories we believe it won’t be easy at all… like a 3 year old child he will jump off the the coffee table or approach the stairs with zero fear… meanwhile adults spend there time stopping the child from killing himself day after day..!!!

This is my first time ever leaving a comment for a TH-cam video. I respect you so much Yamundow. I see your story as not as much of just a success story. During the whole video I looked at you and saw that little girl that nobody thought she could have a chance in her life. And even worse: Nobody wanted her to have a chance. They wouldn't be happy for you if you would succeed unless you pay-pay-pay-pay them and even then they would still feel like you owe them. And that little girl since very early age made herself work so very hard to be the best at school, which means better than anyone else that had parents and was loved and supported. I hope when your parents were alive you felt very much loved. You are absolutely my very hero. My mom lost her parents when she was 12 and she told me how tough life gets as soon as you lose parents. You become so vulnerable. You start feeling like you are less worth than any other people. You depend on people that don't want you. You are a burden for them. On public they will tell everybody how holy they are because they take care of you but everybody is just trying to use you. My mom looked strong and older than 12 and for this reason quite a few people wanted to adopt her for having extra free hands in the house. None of them cared for her wellbeing. They just wanted her to have no choice but work hard for them for free. Luckily she was in USSR where potential parents had to get through a thorough screening for their intentions for the child so none of those people was approved to adopt her. She grew up in an orphanage. She was the best at her school. She graduated from a very good college which was extremely hard to get to. To me your and her stories are similar. I am so happy you became such an educated smart woman that is not afraid of any difficulties

What I love about BiggerPockets is that they let their guests speak. So many of these other interview formats the hosts interrupt so much and basically take over the conversation. Here when they interrupt it's literally to transition the topic or solicit more information or a deeper understanding. They are not randomly interrupting the guest. I loved hearing Yamu's story. Thank you for giving her so much space to speak and tell her story so authentically. Kudos to this beautiful young lady! I am so proud of her and her journey.
