I think Matthew is setting himself up for failure here 😂 He's watching a competitive show, but chooses to like cast members who aren't competitive. Then gets mad at the competitive Challengers for not protecting the non-competitve people who can't offer them anything.
Its up to those people to figure out how to last in this game. It makes no sense to continue to blame everyone (including production). Amanda is in the position she's in because she is constantly picking fights with people who outmatch her in competition & social game. Either she needs to get a better strategy or calm down....either way its on her.
@@0104brit I think the issue is that it’s getting boring! Yes it’s competitive, but it is also a tv show. People bring different aspects to the show, and if it is only athleticism, it’s not interesting. This is not Football game, where everyone is a major athlete and ONLY the battles between the two teams is what is entertaining. The is a reality show where the competition is supposed to shake up the power structure and create drama. A steamroll is never compelling television.
@@realityrealnesss A steamroll is happening because Era 1 was a bad team. Everybody thought that Era 2's males were the weakest and they're the only team that has kept all 4 guys. People like CT, Emily & Horacio being gone early is also a shock. I wish you all would focus more on things like that because there's been a lot of unpredictable things that have happened.
@@0104brit the show isn’t focusing on that. This is a recap. Therefore we talk about the episode. They aren’t focusing on that eras men really. Maybe more next week with Ryan being a target. How can you say it’s a good season? It’s boring and the producers are to blame, for their casting AND for their format/challenges.
Also, the take about Jordan wasn't accurate. He wasn't stopping the drama. He was saying is, you don't throw something at someone when they're not looking....do it when they're looking right at you. Anyone who fights knows this 🤭
Jordan was having Cory's back like a good team mate would. Even if you don't agree, I don't see why its an issue.
@@0104brit He was piping in as the moral police and was stopping them from figuring it out on their own. If Laurel did it, most would be saying that she needed to mind her own biz.
@@realityrealnesss That's not what happened. TJ asked Cory a question, he was answering it and Derrick interrupted by trying to restart the arguement. So Jordan defended Cory, who has the right to be mad at someone throwing something at him...why wouldn't be???

This episode turned cory into my favorite remaining male. It had been building in the episodes before, but its like he just went off this episode. Hes my guy right now.

@@RuthDawg I think we have always been more excited by Allstars rather than the flagship. The flagship has become more and more disappointing, and the number of viewers is plummeting. Since Total Madness the seasons have got worse and worse, probably coinciding with the formation of the Vacation Alliance. A steamroll every season, and everyone playing for future season dynamics has taken a lot of week to week fun out of it. I have watched The Challenge from I was a teenager and now I am in my 40’s. I can 💯 say I have enjoyed seasons or I would not watch or cover the show. I want The Challenge to be the best! I critique out of love, not hate! Though I cant say I love direction it’s going…
Knot So Fast is the only old school elimination that I really enjoy! And we got that silly wall one instead...

I think the issue is not only the money but also the fans to be fair.
People are afraid to have authenthic fights or make big moves coz they will get hate, they will lose fans, sponsorships, crazies will go harass their family, try to cancel them...this era of social media is really unkind to people.
Which is why I do stand so hard behind Josh, coz the amount of hate that guy gets for not being a passive player like most of Era 4, but doing stuff - is insane. And yes if you do stuff, chances are you will make mistakes or piss off fans, hence most Era 4 people coast.
I think if the fans stopped threatening, bullying and yelling at everyone they dont like, the cast would stop worrying so much about how they are being perceived, I do think the cast changed also coz the fans did (not all of us ofc, but it became much more normal for people to be toxic on social media than it was in past)
If CT/Nia/Jordan were cast in Era 4 they d never get a call back and d be probably cancelled for life and probably also not be willing to come back
As Paul from BB19 said recently "I thought i was cast on reality tv, not to be the CEO of Red Cross. "
And I do not evne like Paul, but the truth is that fans created this toxic environemnt where we expect better behavior from a reality tv stars than from the president, and that is an actual threat to the future of reality tv.
I agree with you here!! The audience does the most for no reason. Twitter is especially toxic!!! If you do something that doesn't benefit their "favs" then they just go soo low....it's not that deep
@@Kunoichi4ever4 There was no social media in the past. I have also said many times, that social media has ruined most reality tv. These people care about what happens after. They are coming onto the show for different reasons nowadays. It is def a combination of all of the above.

This last daily was terrible.
There was no possible way Era 1 could NOT lose.
Even if neither one of them had been knocked out, they still would have ended the daily with the least players. because they started with the least, by far.
This shouldve been the first daily but as a Cory fan and someone who doesnt care for Derrick i loved this episode...i feel bad for Rachel though but if she wins or places top 3 in the final itll be a nice bow at the end dor her....also are watching the new show The Summit, i got a job podcasting about it (mostly due to the whole fantasy game making me realize how much i wanted to get into podcasting so thanks for that) and i think youd enjoy it (not necessarily as something to add to your plate but something to enjoy and not have to talk about)

Theyve said they are bringing back Challenge USA. Not sure when, but they said it's delivered in the ratings and they have every intention of continuing.

the eras should be penalized for losing players it makes the eras work together more and not throw challenges.

@@Bangbang-xt7kf You have missed the point. The Challenge used to be the best reality tv show there is. It was my favourite. I watched from the 90’s when it was people from the real world and road rules competing. I started this channel for this show, because I loved it so much. In the past it had everything and the cast wasn’t these major athletes. I appreciate competition, but having that solely be what the show is about is boring. If the producers want to turn it into “the 5th Sport” then I feel like weight class etc has to be taken into consideration. Unfair fights are boring. One side steamrolling another is boring. If that is what the wanted, they should stop casting people on the show that bring entertainment if they just want a battle of the meat heads. And speaking of Love Island, their competitive version of the show “Love Island Games” was much more successful IMO, AND they did a version of this elimination challenge. The dailie and the elimination channel is at most 1/3 of each episode. Obviously the show can’t rely solely on competition, or else it would be shorter. Maybe that could fix the problem. Make the show 22 mins again!
@@realityrealnesss Ty sooo much for a extended response. I understand your point and i really like Real World and Road Rules and all the people who came to the Challenge from it but - 1. It was a different time,all shows like these 2 would be canceled now 🤣 , 2. I understand the nostalgia but we can't complain about steamroll when they are older now. They were great at this game but their time is over. We can't be mad at that and think it's unfair. 3. I just said that bcs i don't like the comment that you ,don't like same 6 people going to the final, , because In the old era it was the same thing. You had same (around) 8 people who were in the final and winning every time. So i don't know,maybe they need to put 20 of the worse challengers in one season and than it will be fair but only if they are creating drama?! Or to play carneval games every week like on All Stars?! 🤣
@@Bangbang-xt7kf But now they are tainting all stars with younger players that will smoke them in anything remotely physical. They are using us day one fans to watch the show by bringing ogs to play. I would say keep them separate. Keep OGs on Allstars and new school on flagship. I do not enjoy the “battle” where the other young athletic people beat people 20 years older than them.
@@realityrealnesss Yeah, yeah. That is something i agree 1000 %. You can't put people who started on season 35 and after on All Stars. All Stars should be only for people who we liked and didn't see for ages. I mean i like season 40 and The Challenge now but also for example Kefla's arc made me fuc*ing cry of joy how awesome he was. That is the point of All Stars, not seeing Faysal, Ashley and Devin etc.

I’m sorry but ima need Matthew to get better quality b/c this is damn near unwatchable. We can see Chantele super clear, it would be nice if both had somewhat of the same quality. I watch so many challenge channels and never see this poor of a quality. at least act like you want to do this show Matt. Chantele channel deserves it
