Hey man, thanks for the video. You see I am a Fifa goalkeeper, but EA has pissed me off so much that I have been trying to get into PES goalkeeping. The problem is, playing this position in PES feels very rudimentary. I feel like it has really been neglected by the developers and deserves an overhaul so that we have more control.
One of my biggest peeves is the camera - those that cover the whole court make it difficult to know where the strikers are shooting. And the pro focused ones are no good either. The one you use - the goal posts and crossbar restrict your vision and the Pro camera is so zoomed in that you cant really keep tabs on your positioning when a cross is coming in, the visibility is also atrocious.
I wish they would adopt something like the Pro GK camera from Fifa which is more dynamic, and elevated and adjusts properly for when crosses are coming in, giving you maximal visibility.
But you cant help with those issues - that's just me venting lol. That responsibility is on the developers. What you might be able to help me with is understanding how the 'theory' of goalkeeping in PES.
Lets start with what the OPTIMAL TRAINING would be...
I personally maxed out GK Ability and skill training, Put 0 in stamina because we don't move much, 0 in shooting for obvious reasons, Dribbling 0 because wont be doing that much. 2 in passing. My issue comes between Speed, Defence and strength.
I put 3 in strength and 3 In defence and 1 in speed. Problem is what does defence improve specifically stats wise - the game doesn't say, is it any use to a gk?
And strength how exactly does that impact my player?; Will he be able to dive further?, is he better at punching the ball? is he better at saving powerful shots? Because those things should be what gk GK Ability improve should they not...
Speed is self explanatory - but I'm not sure if its more useful than strength or defence or passing - mainly because I don't know how the other two (str, def) contribute to GK.
So if you could shed some light on how Strength, Defence and Speed contribute to the ability of my GK that would be helpful. (where are they on the pecking order so to speak)
Nest is THE MECHANICS OF THE PERFECT SAVE:
have you got any Idea of the perfect timing to press the save button? Is it best to do it; before the striker shoots or as they pull their leg back or just after they hit the ball, or when the ball is closest to the gk, etc
Sometimes I point the stick in the right direction and hold the save before the striker even shoots, but my keeper still is not able to make the save. Then you have other times where I point the wrong direction and he still saves it. (In fifa I play on manual so if I go wrong way, unless the shot is right at me keeper doesn't save it lol)
So yea there is a lack of consistency - though TAKE NOTE that I have only played as a low overall keeper, I have never played for more that 10 games in a season before I quit because i'm just like - wtf is going on, I have to go back to fifa lol
Also when a shot is coming at your keepers head or body, right at you. you what do you do. Do you just press the save button and not point stick anywhere? Do you point up? or do something else
Same if it is coming at your keepers feet right at you, do you point the stick down as you press button or do something else?
Or if its coming right at you do you just do nothing and keeper will save it?
Also any tips on how to increase my save percentage will be appreciated, I already have experience from Fifa but its a different game so maybe there are unique tactics for PES i'm not aware of.
Sorry for bombarding you with all the questions but I really need to figure these things out so I can understand the theory of goalkeeping in PES and try to improve.

I can’t really help you with all of it coz I’m still trying to figure it out myself but to save I use left stick to move and b to save its all about timing you need to be in the right position as well just watch tutorials on it that’s what I did it helps you learn the basics and more sorry I couldn’t help with anything else as I’m still learning myself but hopefully this does something to help
@@bradleydalton-goldspink1049 Yea I have watched some tutorials. But none of them address the questions I asked you. Don't worry about it, im asking for details which really the game should be explaining, but the developers have been really lazy with how goalkeeper works.
Most people only play goalie for short periods of time while they control a whole team, so all the explanations online are in that context.
It's just too superficial for me.
PES 21 only has a GK penalty saving training like it really bad, there is no other type. We get a tutorial for the type of shots you are going to very rarely be receiving( I know they did it because most people will only ever control GK in penalty shoot out but the funny thing is since GK is so underdeveloped people don't use it in BAL so that means it gets less attention and remains ignored)
But I guess I'm gonna have to cling to FIFA because Pes GK just doesn't cut it. But the moment they get it to a better standard I will switch for good.

Haven’t played in a while but if I remember it’s left stick and B to dive and it needs to be timed perfectly it’s all about positioning as well work on that. I use A to pass and X to boot up the pitch hopefully this helps
I don’t know if it’s just me but I’m doing one and I’m in chelse but my team hasn’t scored a single goal in like 5 games so it’s so many draws
It’s the way things can go teams can preform bad or good like in mine we was a small team but we did get some good results mostly draws but it depends on how the game had set your team out to be
