They were accepting you by mirroring what you do, remember "Monkey See, Monkey Do"? They will align themselves with what you are doing as a way of accepting you into their group, vs. the other rival monkey groups. I hope to see you do more with them. BTW, the locals treasure them and will tell you off if they think you are treating them harshly or chasing them. It will help if someone could introduce you and reassure them of your intentions. They also don't want the monkeys to learn to be angry at the people, and subsequently the locals, because they can easily jump on them and bite them as they have faster reflexes than ours
