I'm guessing they drive it on the return trip from the top section of the Green car on the trip back. Hope HEP is working so the A/C in the Budd car is working. I'd be in there if it was a hot there as it is here in California today.
@@christinacody5845 I helped with excursions with 1522 from the Museum of Transport when it was running, the HEP was a factor. if it was off some of the consists were uninhabitable in STL weather.
The equipment certainly has seen better days. I wish all trains could last forever, but once those trains get to difficult to repair, they’re gone forever....

While your over there you should check out the Semo port you can get some nice catches of the MRI and the UP and BNSF are right there
