This game was essentially, which team's quarterback ran better than the other one.
@Grey Guce Gay goose, relax. I'm just making a simple observation.
False Blackbear we’ll watch Fran tarkenton vs Jim brown it’s essentially the same kind of games
I love watching the Service Academies play. They're some of the most focused, tough pushing players around. Very few mental errors.
damn, both of their jerseys and helmets look so good.
Wait til you see what they kill 3rd world children in... can you say fashion ICONS?
Google the ones that Navy had with the different ships on them. Those were works of art!
Amry in the first quarter: scores a touchdown
Army 2nd quarter and on: ight imma head out
Navy’s QB is a juke machine he put they whole team on skates⛸
Gerald Ritchey this is some slave master shit
The hell is wrong with you lmao
Can you get drafted to the nfl from playing football for the army
0:54 the impact was so great that the camera shook
I hope all those Army guys got Purple Hearts for this one.... Sportsball Medal of Valor, 2nd Award
Probably the first time I’ve missed this game in memory... always the most fun game to watch
man, there was some serious sticking going on in this game. Great college football. Would love to watch these 2 and airforce go at it every week.
I guess running QBs are the norm now😂
it's always has been the norm since the beginning of football and these two teams Army and Navy has been running the option formation for many many years and it takes a lot of discipline and quick thinking to run that style of offense
Yeah, it's too bad there wasn't anyone on either team that could run the ball except for the quarterbacks. That means no one gets to share the glory of the win. So uhmmm, go Quarterbacks?
@@Wysiwyg101 ¿What? That's not football, football is the ultimate team sport everyone on the team can always enjoy a win, because everyone have a specific important job to do to make it happen other than just carrying the football or touching the football most time you can practice it without the football
Lombardi addressed this in his autobiography. Army (West Point) has so much to work on throughout the week that those who play football only do so as part of the game.
Football comes second to duty, honor & country.
Both teams are well known for using variations of triple option offenses. Years ago it was the Spread T formation with one halfback motioning to the slot, today it's a wing back motioning in to tailback.
3 yards and a cloud of dust!
as an army combat vet. retired...THIS HURTS lol...great game.
The Malcom Perry show today!! Nice!
"Well you don't root for anybody in this game"......GO NAVY
I'm actually conflicted when Army and Navy play. One of my great uncles was a WWII Marine (technically part of the Navy Dept) and the other was a Korean War Army soldier!
Thunderbird 1 that’s great right there. yeaa my uncle and grandfather were in the army. but my dad and stepmom were both navy....AND i work for the DoN so i technically have to go for navy lol
Derek Hall yeah you do and we all know who dose there are some mre’s in the line
Both heir jerseys are 🔥
Damn I love these games... Total respect
Hooyah Navy! Finally!!!
Army's QB was worse than Montana's in the FCS
@Aidan Pierce What happened to Kelvin Hopkins? He was a superstar for Army.
@Aidan Pierce Wow, that's too bad. If he stayed healthy, I thought Army would contend for the NY6 this year.
What a way to go Navy. Awesome game.
Number 10 played defense and offense what a stud
Both these uniforms are just AWESOME!
Thanks for the reupload
I have an uncle who once said he pays top dollar for little Cesar’s pizza
Whoa! Malcolm Perry! Gifted runner.
Both of those unis are legit
When my I was a kid, my grandpa, who was a Navy lifer, gave me a stuffed animal: the Navy Goat! Always root for Navy. And they covered :).
thank you !
Was the navy qb playing safety too do both players had the same number jerseys?
LESSSS GOOOO NAVY AS A NAVY CHILD RESPECT
Will Navy go to a bowl game this year? There was a time when both programs were powerhouses and this game became a classic.
Michael Lomax Yes, they are playing in the Liberty Bowl against Kansas State. Not a New Year’s Six, but still one of the better bowls. You only need six wins to go to a bowl game.
Navy has been in a bowl game i believed 6 or 7 times out of the past 8 seasons and i don't believe Navy or Army every been a powerhouse programs since maybe the 1930's or 1940's
They're ranked 23 and have 10 wins, I'm guessing they're playing in the postseason
I love some of navys old school high top cleats
Navy took it to em.Although I root for Army I salute both teams.🇺🇸
Love the fact that these guys mostly run the ball. They ain’t the Air Force baby!
Serious question. How do military academies seeing as the all run option, train their defense to defend the pass
The scout teams can pass like a regular offense to help train the defense
i was there and as a navy fan and seeing the first quarter me and my dad were scared but then not anymore
Was 3:40 supposed to be a screen or was that just bad blocking?
A question from the other side of the Pacific Ocean are these Army/Navy players eligble for the NFL draft? Because that Navy quarterback is red hot.
Awesome
Do you have to attend either academies to come to the games
Good game
Go Navy, Beat Army! Congratulations to Navy! 👍
Proud of our boys!
got DAMN Malcolm Perry is amazing
Navy has a really good run game
Man both team's D was laying out the wood in this game
Both teams brought the wood.
Those Vietnam-Inspired Uniforms were unlucky.
GO NAVY BEAT ARMY! Also Army tanked in this game while it was smooth sailing for Navy (yes the puns were intended)
I don't understand why there's not Air Force playing this game against Navy, they won 10 games more than Navy so I don't understand the presence of Army right here.... Can someone explain it to me?
Navy vs Taliban next?
I love how there were like 2 passes
Is number 10 lamar jackson in secret????god damn
Hardest hitting game in a while...
Anchors aweigh gooooo navy!!!⚓⚓🚢
Gezzz do they believe in throwing the 🏈 😂
Old school football just running the damn ball
I was there Malcolm perry is fast
Everyone here acting like navy didn’t get their shit handed to them for the past three years
The Army endzone looks weird.
That ain’t no damn Qb😂
That's the name of the position QB on offense ¿so how isn't he a QB? it's an option formation offense
Because he keeps running the ball, option is only when u don’t have receivers but he makes it his priority to run the ball I guess he thought it was all about him
@@yktfvibez3183 you do have guys at the receivers positions everytime when running the option they're either in tight or out wide and there are always 5 eligible receivers just as there is in every other offensive formation
It seems the quarterbacks were the main players in this game...
Always with the triple option play book. Very old school football. Fullbacks and Quarterbacks running the ball.
Navy finally gets their win and then, this year, again Army with another close win. So I guess whenever the games are close it’s almost always Army winning it.
next tayson hill
QB vs QB
navy #10
GO NAVY!
Football is going to suck if it's going to be just watching the quarterbacks run every play.
¿What do you mean? that's what have football up to the point where it's at now it's the beginning of football the history of football it is football to run the ball in order to control the clock and the game only pass when necessary
@@elhombrenegro9754 sorry dude, I just enjoy it more when there is not just one person handling the ball. In basketball they call them ball hogs and equally unenjoyable to watch. There's a reason them game evolved beyond it's origin.
@@gonebutnotforgotten5279 football is the ultimate team sport the ball is use as something to be advanced in order to score, but there is other very very important things that have to be done great first before that can be done at all it's never no such thing called ball hogs in football it's called ball control when on offense only on defense in football you want ball hogs guys who can find the ball and who can make plays on the ball or ball carriers such as turnovers, tackles, and tackles for losses
I feel like Navy always wins
So are the linemen in the military academys too?
Yeah, they have Linemen but since they are military academies the lines are alot smaller because of Military weight limits.
Are they active duty?
Bryson Weathersbee yes, they do their 4 years of college. Then afterwards they serve their contracts as officers in the military.
Why do they pass the ball so rarely?
Because it is college football, and a good running quarterback destroys defenses at that level. Need the arm too if they want to make waves in the pros tho.
They both run high school offenses
Forgot to mention. Vietnam - 65 to 69.
Let's gooo Navy
Go Navy!
What did the army honestly expect? They were 5-7, to the navy’s 9-2
Hooyah Navy!
Do any of these dudes qualify for the NFL draft or are they required to serve for a certain number of years?
Use to be the case, but they just changed that rule a few years back about 3 years ago if they're good enough they can go right into the NFL draft and finish their service at a later time
QB vs army
Go navy beat army!
10 is fast as fuck!
I respect all branches of the military. Only 7 pass attempts for the whole game 😴😴😴. It’s like watching paint dry
...might as well play rugby. The academies are always a treat to watch, especially the Army Navy match up. Greetings from New Zealand.
It be laggy for me
Damn bro, Army D line are terrible.
GO NAVY BEAT ARMY.
Honestly can say I hate the flexbone style offense. I think it’s time for Army to switch to the spread or the RPO offensive. Flexbone doesn’t work when you play a team with actual talent.
G.T Breezy yes because they both run the same offense, the flexbone. which is why I clearly stated they need to switch to the spread or RPO offense.
Army went to OT with Oklahoma & Michigan the past 2 seasons, so the Flex isn't the issue
The reason they run bone is due to the disadvantage of their oline... to be in the military you cant exceed a certain size meaning 6foot5 300 lbs is consider tooo be to be in military. Army navy biggest linemen are 260s
¿Why should they change to that? The option of the game is to get the ball down the field and score believe me anything type of offense will get the job done if you have discipline players who do their jobs correctly, football is the ultimate team sport
Navy QB gonna be an NFL prospects if he goes into the draft
He's gotta serve his time first before he can do that, just like David Robinson and the receiver for the NY Giants back in the 80's
If they get drafted by the nfl, they can delay their service and play in the pros. President signed that order today.
Perry most likely would be drafted as a WR, and the only 2 teams I can see drafting him would be the Patriots if Bellicheck is still the coach and be their 2nd Eddelman, or the Ravens given that Lamar is doing a couple of option plays and Perry is already familiar with that.
Why don’t marines have a team
Marines (like me) usually root for Navy as many of our Officers are graduates of Annapolis
Marines do have a football team Mike Anderson a former Denver Broncos RB played football for the marines, but the marines are also a branch of the navy
Upload the Oregon vs Michigan game plz
I can’t in my main because the big 10 won’t let me post basketball highlights but it will be up on my basketball channel Highlight Nation it’s uploading now
@@marknethercutt3381 they are ranked 10 and 5 and it went into overtime. How is that lame?
Michigan overrated on give day both teams win five out ten all day.
0:55 wtf
Army is sunk again hahaha
Navy...A white Lamar Jackson...wow...
Despite Army's record, both of these teams were very good this year. What a match-up!
are you not allowed to throw the ball in the military?
i guess they're playing the odds that 3 things can happen when you pass the ball and 2 of them are bad things
@@HenriKrissenger So when a person pass the ball the 3 things that can happen. The 1 good things, 1) They can throw a completion.
The 2 bad things 1) They can throw an interception, 2) They can throw an incompletion, none of these thing advance the ball on offense ¿So how are the odds the same when running the ball?
@@elhombrenegro9754 Running: 3 possibilities. 1) gain yards. 2) stuffed for zero or negative yards. 3) fumble. Two bad outcomes 1 good , same as throwing.
@@HenriKrissenger a fumble isn't the same as a interception the offense can recover a fumble for a gain, can't get a interception back and beside a pass is most like a fumble, because every time the offense pass the ball it's giving up possession of the ball
Navy got some big boys no way they’re meeting height and weight.
The years 2021, you get a letter in the mail from Navy. It reads “we’d like to offer you a scholarship to play football for our program” you’re excited to even have an offer, then you remember you’re a Wide Receiver...
