Make a gabion structure/ rip rap/ repelling groynes or spurs pointing towards the river at an angle towards the downstream to slow the water impact on the riverbank on the curve part or before the curve part (most preferably) of the river along with the additional rcc wall on the impacting area. The retaining/RCC should be L shaped towards the road or inverted T shaped to hold the mud weight above which locks itself. Proper drainage should be made on the road corners and the road should be slope so that water does not seeps inside the road but diverted to the river. Seepage inside the road may loosen the soil and make the road structure weak.
There was a depression in this road section earlier before the landslide, if preventive measures was taken beforehand from this symptoms it would have saved a lot of resources-time money. Anyways there might be more vulnerable section like the symptoms which was seen here. This symptoms may turn into disaster coming years, so this should be checked/monitored. Disaster/accident are unavoidable but it can be minimize. Therefore more preventive measures needs to be taken by a committee consisting of concerned dept like NSDM, laymen experience construction workers, engg. Etc to check and monitor the road conditions.

I think the contractors should start the foundation with blocks of solid slab rocks else looking at the video it looks like flood will wash away road build on sand.
In such a 4lane highway who even construct such a small retaining wall,that too just few feets away from the river.I think our government doesn't have eyes to see this hopeless construction which would create danger in the coming days.
