Be sure to shoot this out against the “Empress.” Obviously they’re different BUT it’d make sense to see how/which one would get the most use on projects! Thank you.🤩
Dam !!!!!Dave it looks awsome can wait to hear it love those big knobs and big capacitors to really push that audio through the unit thank you so much Dave appreciate you
I ordered this exact model about a month ago. Pretty excited to see how it sounds here since there seems to be a shortage of videos on it. I'm hoping they ship mine out on time but my hopes aren't high given the last couple of things I've purchased from them.
The new pultec that are the original reissues run about $4k ish for a mono unit/ when I bought a pair of them, the wait was about eight months……. I have bought the Stam Stereo unit that you demo’d …… am currently waiting for delivery and i expect it will be as you noted, to the quality of their other pieces!! Thanks for the review!!
Nice that you are reviewing some nice Stam Audio gear, I’m always interested in them. Would be great if they could send you their StamChild SA-670 MK2, you could need an extra rack soon 😂
Make sure you make time for the pultec....you can pop the bubble wrap between sessions, hehe I want to hear some guitars through those pre's...hey Dave so I'm an old, well your age and I'm retired on a tight budget ,I'm the dude who bugs you about analog obsession plugins cause they are free...anyway can I enter the contest or do I need to be part of your classes? I really would love to win one of those pres Can't wait to hear that pultec
@@MixingMusicAnalog okay cool...I'll check it out but can't promise anything...but you are best on youtube and I am always looking forward to new videos...and giving you a hard time, hehe
The fact that they combined both of the circuitries and added a mid band makes this EQ tremendously versatile. :D
AND......it's stereo which is something I have not seen
Stam Audio is such a great company. Affordable, incredible gear.
Thus far, I agree. The only issue seems to be their lead-times but I think they are working to improve on that
11:06 Thank you for showing inside the unit 👍
No problem! :)
I’m waiting already 15 months for this one, but Stam makes great stuff so I'll be happy when it arrives.
Coming soon!

Maybe at one point, thanks!
That is impressive. I hear a lot of people say they have too many plugins. Never heard anyone say they have too much analog gear. Great video!
Well, I say I have too much gear for sure. That's why I am going to start giving some of it away in my upcoming mixing contests.

The lead times are longer than most companies, for sure. You need to know that before you order from Stam Audio.
@@MixingMusicAnalogTrue, I have no problem waiting for quality gear, I just wish they actually hit their own stated timelines.
Looking forward to seeing you and DavidSJ demo these bad boys!

Interesting! Thanks for the info
@@MixingMusicAnalog sorry $4500- when i bought a pair 2 years ago they were $3750- so they have gone up almost 25% in 2 years…..
How does it compares to the AS ones? Would love to have a direct comparison in your channel. Keep up the good work man and congrats on your NGD!!
They sound pretty much the same.
@@MixingMusicAnalog OK. Love it's one single piece of gear for two channels, but I guess is more difficult to get delivered than the AS ones.
The insides! Wow!! Two in one and the Tube and SS selections good lord! Are those Elma switches? Jeez! How much is it?
Re-watch the video. I say the price

Can't wait to hear that pultec
You would need to purchase the training course when it comes out. That is the only way to be a part of the mixing contest.

The 2a3 from Retro Instruments is a pretty killer stereo Pultec too.
That is their "take" on the Pultec. This is built true to the original.
Manley Labs has a Stereo Pultec.

@@MixingMusicAnalog True! Nice to see you back making videos again!
