Thanks for posting this! We really need a Cherokee Translation of the Five Books of Moses. I'm not bad at Hebrew, but I'm horrible at speaking the Language of the Red Father (and my Grandfather Huffine only knew maybe 200 words and some phrases) !
Jeff A. Benner has done a "Mechanical Translation" of Genesis and I think his approach would be the best way to Translate the entire Tanakh (Hebrew Bible).
I really like your video. I was very curious to know whether the syllables individually have their own meaning, or whether they describe objects or things in cherokee language? For example in the Albanian language HU. Means stick or wood ...... HA. Means eating ..... HI. Means getting in. Thank you for your attention.
both. this is just the basic phonunciation guide used to help see and hear the syllabary characters and their basic sounds. it only becomes dialect when you see preference for one sound over another or if said another way. for example, a dialect difference between eastern and western band would be the preference of tsa over tla or vice versa. an example of this preference is the word for bat (flying animal) - tsameha or tlameha depending on speaker and preference
Why can't we just use actual sounds of the English letters? I'm fixing to make my own version of that shit. Too confusing. Thanks for the audio though. It'll help me get a good idea of the sounds.

v/vv - yes
tla/tsa - kind of like "stop, quit it"

why not remember "Wu" as in WOOD?
Because the pronunciation is not universal for wood.
The "u" in wood is a different sound. /ʊ/ vs /u/
