I am moving to hawaii all by myself at 19 to work on a ranch and to have a second job like in a shop. I don't have a college degree and I don't want to pay so much for a college. For me success isn't about a degree, for me success is about happiness and living the best life, my life and not the life everyone is choosing to live

You DO know that a "Small Business" is defined as a business whose average earnings over the past three years is $21 million dollars, right? Like, I get the meme, but it's a stupid, recidivistic knee jerk from those who don't understand that business is an entirely different scale than their typical check-to-mouth employee wage slave mindset.
@@JJ-di2oe Compared to where he got, yeah, it's a small sum. He also had to pau it back although with a friend if at all interest rate. But he's acknowledged that being his father son was a privilege. And boy oh boy, I'm turning 22 and starting a startup company that is very promising, but it took me years of trying different stuff and going the traditional route of university to realize that I'm not made for it. If my father was an entrepreneur and had given me mentoring, I would be so far ahead, and possibly with much better connections. But trump acknowledges that privilege, and I'm not gonna cry about it. In the end that all there is to it: what is actionable right now? What are you gonna do with what you have?

You're not supposed to know at your age. Just try out anything you think you may be good at/ enjoy and save a little money as you go. If you can teach yourself, that is huge because part of growing ups is learning and teaching yourself as you go. Talk to people who are successful and find a common denominator as to why they are successful.
A lot of companies offer tuition reimbursement including mine so you get work experience plus college paid for . There is one girl with us that started while still in college then as soon as she graduated she had an instant promotion while her friends that were living on student loans are stuck trying to find a job gain experience and pay down debt . Doing it the way I told you requires more upfront work but comes with a lot less stress later on.
Don’t think of it as “what will I do for the rest of my life?” Think of it like “what do I want to try to succeed in for the next 5-8 years” People focus on finding one sole career as if they’ll only do that for the rest of their lives. Sure, some go that route. But you’ll be much less stressed if you focus more on short-mid term goals.
Im a college drop out, graduated from cosmetology school turned into dog groomer making 6 figures. Dog grooming as of right now requires NO license/ certification and (if you find a privately owned salon) no high school Diploma...just A LOT of patience.
The sad part about these jobs is that YES, technically by qualifications you don't need a degree. However, with most employers they are looking for the best applicant in which ppl with no degrees will be competing against ppl with degrees for the same position and we all know how that will turn out.......
Friend of mine is a power plant operator no degree . I have a cdl and a pilots license I make a lot more driving a truck over 100 k a year with benefits that include tuition reimbursement for college.

Some of these jobs you may not NEED a college degree, but 9 times out of 10 you will lose the job to someone with a degree if you apply and don't have one because so many people do.
Mike not true. Personality goes a long way and most employers know how to read between those lines. If you’re equally matched in every way with the exception of the degree, then yes, the degree will be the deciding factor, but this occurs far less than 9 out of 10.

Hey Andrei. I was scrolling through TH-cam for a while looking for somebody who was genuine to learn from. I can see you are one of the few who want to educate rather than clickbait for views. I appreciate your work. I hope more people are able to find your channel.
I agree on Tech. The job I'd recommend that makes the most money without a degree is programming. Give yourself a couple years to get good at it (at night if you are already working), build up your github resume, and then get a job. Just get your foot in the door (starting programmers are around 80k to 100k+ in a normal city, not CA where its higher -- and sky is the limit if you join tech companies with stock options). I've hired tons of people in tech over the years, and I went from caring if someone went to college to not caring in the least. I care about passion for programming. Love that footage of your dad.. and I'm not into religion, but I love when I hear Joel O talk. :)
It's incredible what a few months of learning those skills will do for your financial future. If TH-cam fails, FIRST thing I'm doing is calling up my smart friends and asking them to teach me 😅
Cuz I'm in college for computer science (yes I know about how people about college but I'm forced to by family) , but I know it's not enough to be adept at it
@@mg682 I don't think programming books are where I would look.. I would start programming.. start with hello world and go from there. Pick a language and give yourself challenges and solve them.. I need to figure out how to come up with a lot of money, so that I can at least pay off everything." Money doesn't buy happiness, but it certainly pays for your tuition.

That's because this will work but only if you have the right circumstances. Rich people can tell you how to get rich because they already have all the resources needed to get rich.

I myself am a power plant operator and can vouch that in this line of work you can easily make six figures. The job itself isn’t bad at all. Most places work rotating shift work but you get used to it. Refineries are another one to look into that you can make a good living off of. If I had any recommendations for anyone looking to get into this line of work I strongly advise getting a maintenance or instrumentation background and try to get in any facility doing that.

Great video! I’d say your number 10 (job roles in film) would be closer to the number 1 spot depending on your experience. Cinematographers can make £1500+ / £3500+ per day on commercials (and possibly more). But, being a freelance job I guess you’d have to take into consideration frequency of work also. I’d estimate somewhere between £50,000 - £300,000 per year. Thanks for the video!
iam pretty sure half of that income goes to maintance, insurance, permits etc. also, truck driving is one of the most dangerous jobs ever, atleast in the USA, and minor accidents endup in termination
@@kurtgainz you don't need to own your own truck to make 70k but it's not an easy job and even if yoi own your own truck you have to make wise decisions very often, because in any situation or any minute you can lose your license. I only recommend it to the ones that are into the lifestyle

As far as Nuclear Power plants there are also positions for Instrumentation and Controls and also RadCon/RadTech workers as well. I have a 2 year degree (only cost me around 20k) for I/C with a focus in Nuclear power (It was funded by a Nuke Plant). The salary cap can go above 90k if you get more certifications of course (not to mention the overtime oh lawd). There are companies that hire workers specifically for extra labor during refueling outages. Seriously untapped market due to the media/social bias surrounding nuclear power. I highly recommend this career path.
This was so fun to watch and I'm genuinely pleased with the amount of info I absorbed from this. Lol first of all, as someone with immigrant parents, I'm still dying at "throw the whole baby away" 💀 because it's too accurate 😔 Then secondly, this opened my mind to definitely look into ways that are higher paying than what I'm doing right now. It's ridiculous how much money is out there waiting to be accessed and I'm just sitting here broke and frustrated 🤔
True, being immigrants is like a excuse or kinda obligation we have to leave our lives at school and it's kinda frustrating because we try to do our best for our parents but sometimes college is not everything and only means lots of debts.

Went to sea at 17 with absolutely nothing but a backpack. Learned trades and invested. Thirty years later, 26 million richer and not a single day spent at university. Not boasting, just letting people know that it's REALLY possible. Just absolutely, positively MUST ABANDON conventionality to make it happen though. Mortgage; Something for later. Family: Something for later. New car: Something for later. Dining out: Something for later. New clothes: Something for later. Annual vacations: Something for later. It's a lot of sacrifice, but life is sacrifice until you have that nest egg growing. If you're young, just stop paying attention to the Jones' and stay out of debt. Shondrella Avery an “expert professional” is not needed. Learn how to invest money yourself and save a shit ton of money on fees in your lifetime. Just make sure you keep your portfolio balances by investing in inversely correlated ETF’s to minimize portfolio volatility while consistently contributing through automatic deposits. Stay mechanical and invest in a schedule to dollar cost average into the market. Broad market ETF’s contain the best stocks and are consistently updated to remove under-performer...... so this theoretically means the ETF consistently moves up indefinitely. There. Just saved you up to 3% in fees and that will add up over time!
7:20 is wrong - In order to be a detective you have to have a minimum of 5 years within that particular law enforcement agency. You can not just come off the street and just be a detective, this is not a TV show. You have to go to a police academy for 14 months, then you have to be assigned a precinct and work as a police officer for 5 years first. Before you can become a detective you have to be a Sargent first & you need to take a test first and after 3 years as a Sargent, then you are able to qualify to take the Lieutenant's test and work as a Lieutenant for a minimum of 3 years. THEN and only THEN you are allowed to take the detective 3rd Class test. If you pass the Detective 3rd class test, then you are assigned a lead officer in the detective squad and you work as a detective 3rd class for a minimum of 5 years, before you can take a second mandatory test to go up a class to Detective 2nd class. then after 4 years as a detective 2nd class, any high ranking officer within your precinct can promote you to Detective 1st class. Each one of the ranks you need to work the first year of each rank under supervision and on probation period of that first year. In cities like NYC, you need High School Diploma and 60 college credits (2 years of military service will negate the 60 college credits). and must be under the age of 35 when called for the main entrance police exam. candidates are required to pass a drug and alcohol screening with a sporadic test throughout your career as a police officer. (meaning, you can get immediately pulled off the street by a high ranking officer to take a mandatory test. If you fail, you're basically gone from the department. Also, mandatory retiring age is 62. -- One thing to note, ANY civil service jobs after working for 20 years will grant you a pension. You dont get pensions from any other jobs that are not civil service jobs after working for 20 years. Which means if you enter the police or fire department in your city at age 25, that means that at 45 you can retire and get a pension for the rest of your life. if you decide the move on to something else, meaning another job, even another civil service job for example in transit department for your city, you still collect your mandatory pension and the income of your new job at the same time. :) When you retire, you will collect SSI, and pension from your 1st civil service job and pension from your 2nd civil service job if your went that route from age 45 to 65 years old.. 3 guarantee incomes at 65 when your mandated retiring age of 65 comes into effect. -- basically easy life from 65 onwards with 3 guaranteed incomes. I wish my parents taught me that when I was 18~20 years old....LOL

Having a well paying job is good and all, but I put fun/entertainment before salary. Of course this is my opinion but you probably should take it for granted, If you have a fun job then it will make you happier, even if you picked that job instead of the higher salary but boring job. Think about what job you REALLY want and try shooting for it, and if it doesn't work out, then you can always go the second option or third.

If your leaning towards owning your own business for great financial growth: trades like plumbing, concrete, electrical work, and even others like tree topping, can pay excellent. A family friend of ours does tree topping outside Seattle (his own company, works when he wants) and makes over $180,000 annually.
I went to college for 2 years and dropped out. I own a home, am married, have 4 cars, a big tv, video games, property in another state. I went into technology about 22 years ago.. just like today, if you have passion, drive, and are a go-getter, there's literally nothing stopping you from doing anything. But, you have to be thick skinned because without that degree you will deal with ignorant stupid people in high places the rest of your life. You need to be able to communicate well enough to prove you're worth hiring. For me it's always been easy, but some people it might be worth the 500.00 a month for the rest of your life to not have to answer those questions.. To me it was worth a new Mustang every 5 years to just answer the questions.
Good for you ShartingFish!! I LOVE hearing (err, reading) stories like yours. Grit, work ethic, f’ all attitude knowing you can do job(s) that pay MUCH more then the type LA grads from a mediocre school can get-if they can-but talk down to those w/o a degree. Oh & $100k in S/L debt ($1.2 TRILLION-mark my words, next HUGE economic bubble soon to cause havoc)
ImLostInMyOwnMind - who leases? I buy new ones, keep them till they are paid off, and sell them. I don't drive enough to lease, i have other cars to drive in crap weather, or drive in area's where door dings are possible. The mustangs are for me, they are fun to tool around in, on back country roads, get a little sideways and have fun.. after 5 years the usually have around 15-20k miles and I don't really lose that much on them.. usually get them new for around 34-37k and sell them 5 years later for 28-30k. I have owned other brands and other cars, but the mustang to me is American freedom with a good soundtrack. Typically i buy new, but I've also had Cobra's, Roush, Saleen, and McLaren's i bought preowned. The point i was trying to make for the younger generation is that if you push for it, you can have anything you want. Not to let people try to control you into thinking you have to comply with standards, and that the money you save on college can be used on other things to make you happy. It doesn't happen over night, you may need to make lifestyle changes for a few years, it may be something that might take ten years for you to accomplish, but keep your head high and push forward it's worth it, and you're worth it. Merry Xmas btw

I am moving to hawaii all by myself at 19 to work on a ranch and to have a second job like in a shop.
I don't have a college degree and I don't want to pay so much for a college. For me success isn't about a degree, for me success is about happiness and living the best life, my life and not the life everyone is choosing to live
Have Fun! Hawaii is wonderful!
Youre making a big mistake... Hawaii is extremely expensive and one of the worst places to start a business

You DO know that a "Small Business" is defined as a business whose average earnings over the past three years is $21 million dollars, right?

Needed this. School is just feeling like it’s not for me, luckily I’m at a community college with no debt right now and still young
I'm in the same position man. I'm about to graduate community college and I'm struggling to get through this semester. My biggest fear is going to college and losing what little drive I have and end up wasting a whole lot of time and money.
I’m 17 years on and beyond stressed over what I’ll be doing for my future I didn’t know any options I knew college didn’t have to be that answer but I had no idea what to do this video did much more then help me it gave me so many options and helped me realize there is a world of opportunities
It’s been causing me anxiety as well
You're not supposed to know at your age.
Mann, i just graduated and im 17 1/2 and feeling clueless in life right now, have no idea what i want to do
Don’t think of it as “what will I do for the rest of my life?”
Think of it like “what do I want to try to succeed in for the next 5-8 years”
People focus on finding one sole career as if they’ll only do that for the rest of their lives. Sure, some go that route. But you’ll be much less stressed if you focus more on short-mid term goals.
The fact that he used some of Joel Osteen's sermons amuses me.

The sad part about these jobs is that YES, technically by qualifications you don't need a degree. However, with most employers they are looking for the best applicant in which ppl with no degrees will be competing against ppl with degrees for the same position and we all know how that will turn out.......

If TH-cam fails, FIRST thing I'm doing is calling up my smart friends and asking them to teach me 😅
Programming is a smart skill to learn for sure 💰 💰 💰
What programming books do u recommend?
Cuz I'm in college for computer science (yes I know about how people about college but I'm forced to by family) , but I know it's not enough to be adept at it

Not boasting, just letting people know that it's REALLY possible. Just absolutely, positively MUST ABANDON conventionality to make it happen though.

then you have to be assigned a precinct and work as a police officer for 5 years first. Before you can become a detective you have to be a Sargent first & you need to take a test first
and after 3 years as a Sargent, then you are able to qualify to take the Lieutenant's test and work as a Lieutenant for a minimum of 3 years.
THEN and only THEN you are allowed to take the detective 3rd Class test.
If you pass the Detective 3rd class test, then you are assigned a lead officer in the detective squad and you work as a detective 3rd class for a minimum of 5 years,
before you can take a second mandatory test to go up a class to Detective 2nd class.
then after 4 years as a detective 2nd class, any high ranking officer within your precinct can promote you to Detective 1st class.
When you retire, you will collect SSI, and pension from your 1st civil service job and pension from your 2nd civil service job if your went that route from age 45 to 65 years old..
3 guarantee incomes at 65 when your mandated retiring age of 65 comes into effect. -- basically easy life from 65 onwards with 3 guaranteed incomes.
I wish my parents taught me that when I was 18~20 years old....LOL
Where are you that the police academy is 14 months? It's only like 4 months in South Carolina
@@maddiek85101
NYPD is 6 months of academy with the Barn training after., that can extend to 24 months during RSFT aka Real Street Field Training.
minimum RSFT is 14 months which is also in tandem of probationary period after the 6 months of academy time.
The Barn boss tells every new recruit that enters their new assigned Barn is told that RSFT is still considered Academy training.
The Barn boss can disqualify any individual in RSFT for any reason including,
Any misconduct in or out of the job on or off duty during the 24 month RSFT period is an automatic disqualification from the NYPD as of 2016.
and there will be no retry or re-entry. if you are disqualified during academy or RSFT, you are permanently done. no exceptions.
@@TwstedTV That's insane, but I am sure it's good training so less screw ups. Never knew that it lasted that long
I wish I had seen this video when I was 18, coming from a circumstance where my parents were uneducated and all my "elder wiser" family members told me to go to college. I don't have a huge amount of debt, but nonetheless, it is still extremely wack. I never would have went to college.
man... I start following your channel in 2020, but that "be happy on purpose impression", was the best, deserves alike. that´s it... I don't even care about the rest of the video.
My goodness, that was the best thing I’ve seen in a long time. That speech on happiness was gold
😂 thanks Bayley haha
Great video! Also, pilot here. On avg to attain all required licensing, it will take about 70-90k of training before you can get an entry level job making about 32k a year. Then moving up the ladder to a regional airline at 65k. Then finally going to a legacy carrier starting at about 110k, but senior captains can achieve over 350-400k. Its a long road for us flybois but a well paid and fulfilling one in the end.
You better love flying!
Hello, do pilots have to be vaccinated now? I wanted to be a pilot but if I have to be vaccinated i will not do it.
The one thing i love about this dude is he doesnt sell you crap and he gives you realistic, attainable, doable ballish avenues to earn cash and invest wisely Andrei you are dabomb🚀
Finishing college doesn'y guarantee you a good salary in the future but hardwork and creativity will.
I worked as a supervisor at ups for an extended period of time. As a corporation they press everyone whom is non union (being all management) to extremes. Yes the job is high paying. However the stress and expectation makes life extremely difficult
Was disappointed that I didn't here computer science or computer programming but the end payed off. I am on my last year of my academic career (at a technical college) and all of my peers that have graduated had no problem getting a job and all talk about where else they could go to expand their career and get paid even more than their current employer.
Dude your preaching as a pastor, so funny. I needed that. Thank you
Officially a fan after that intro 😭😭👌

Currently trying to pick up programming, I stand to believe programming will be the the far future normal universal language of creative communication.
The future is now old man. *coughs* in creative communication of memes.
I just got laid off from my work due to the pandemic. It didn't hit so hard though just because I have always been investing in passive income. This is an eye opener to prospective investors out there . Big thanks to my financial advisor who made this possible.

ShartingFish new Mustang every 5 years? Damn ur wasting a shit load of money leasing a car

“ pilot license is not that hard to get “ this guy clearly don’t know what he is talking about... try to study for a EASA license!
In canada a private pilot license is 25k , a comercial license is 40k and ATPL license 60k
@@gabtheriault122 And if you're a bird - you don't need a license.
@@paulsawczyc5019 do birds need license where you live?
@Rob Nolan I believe comercial vs airliners, comercial get you paid & airliner gets you to fly passengers! Correct me if im wrong
Yeah it takes so much more money and time to become a commercial pilot than he made it out to be. Thousands of hours of training flights with all types of planes and airports which are paid out of pocket. If you’re looking to become one, be ready to invest more than $150k, all your time, and undergo lots of mental assessments. They don’t mess around when it comes to having the lives of hundreds in your hands.
