When can we see what’s at the bottom of the brine pool! If the hag fish can swim down... there has got to be another species discovered/undiscovered that can do it also. I just wanna know what’s at the bottom!!!

We'll need to develop something new, because brine pools are so dense that submarines can't sink in them.

Good point, AeraxFX. I was already wondering why they didn't try to dive in the brine ...too obvious that it is just too saline :D

I'm getting to be an old man now, but, if I could go back in time... I would probably return to my late teens and pursue a career in this field. All these ecosystems that we have, and have yet to discover are more than awe inspiring and fascinating. I agree with the point of "why are we putting so much 'more' effort into discovering and learning about other planets/stars/space when there are so many different worlds within our own planet that we haven't even discovered yet. Beautiful video... love this.

I wish these videos would give more actual insight into what was found and the research going on rather than basically incessantly reiterating how amazing it is. I know it's amazing. I can see and decide for myself that it's amazing. There's no need to indoctrinate me into thinking so with epic music and constant assertions of the gravity of this research. I would like to know the details please.
You watch a scientific documentary from a few decades ago it just goes; fact fact fact. Nowadays it's all about creating a sensation that is larger than the reality. Not that this isn't huge, but does it have to be portrayed in such a Hollywood manner?

This is a trailer trying to get you to watch the actual documentary, so it's trying to convince the maximum amount of people that this actually matters for the well being of humanity, and not just a neat movie about fishies. You may already realize how important it is but not everyone does, including young people. Everyone has to hear something for the first time somewhere.

Potentially because research takes actual years. This is just them collecting samples and considering the potential ramifications of their data. Another point is that they need to fund these trips somehow. The majority of the population are far more likely to view it if it’s more accessible and not just the results of data

I wonder how actually the creatures living in such a deep and dark place would be affected by the light of the submersible vehicle, would they become totally blind because of their sensitive light receptors were overexposed to the light? What I believe is that they somehow can still see in the darkness by using some mechanism such as bioluminescence which might give low intensity light for them to be able to see. And due to the over bright or intense light, then they become a real blind. Do you think that's possible or not?

My only wish is that one day we will get documentaries for an audience of students and scientists. These pictures are amazing, the commentary is hollow, shallow.... there's next to no information for people that have a bit of interest in the subject. Just let the scientists speak about their work like they would to a colleague, ask questions, argue with them. It would be so much more informative. I would be willing to pay for it. On the other hand I will never consider buying the movies that are being produced at the moment. Anyone with me on this? BBC has worldwide reach, there has to be a way that it can produce two commentaries on one movie, so that all the audience members can be satisfied. I'm sure there is a way to make the scientific commentary profitable too. Schools and universities, hobbyists and scientists would probably be happy to have it.

Scientists have recently discovered what the Bible has known for thousands of years...In JOB 38:16 it says, Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?.. How could JOB have known about springs in the depths of the ocean, unless it was revealed to him by the God of the Bible?

There was an error when the video was first ''uploaded" that prevented people from watching it. The video was there but it said that it was not "public" and the comments where disabled. Everyone who tried to watch it couldn't and left a dislike, so it has nothing to do with the content but with a technical issue on TH-cam's end.

Actually the video has a lot of dilikes because it wasn't working for some reason and people just saw that, disliked, and left.
