Bro I went to work and live to the seychelles islands for 6 months during my trainee program in college, cuz it was my childhood dream to live on an island because of this game. peace
I agree 100%. But thats also due to the technical possibilitys in 1997. In MI1 and 2 there was only MIDI Music and 4 Channel Amiga Sound possible... still awesome... i just love everything about the MI trilogy 1-3 :)
For sure! 1997 is where it really started to feel like video game music was breaking through a barrier. Diablo, Outlaws, MI3 drew me in because part of me couldn't believe I was hearing instrumental recordings instead of digital approximations.
Good LORD I love this game. I remember buying it back when it was first released. So many good memories! Played it on a Packard Bell PC back in the day lol
Haha same, then an Advent PC, and after that I was old enough to understand and learn more about computers to be the house decision maker on what we should be buying rather than the sales people at whatever early-2000's carpeted-walls store we were at.
"Ah, I see... I was struck by a wave of overwhelming hatred and anger."
"Yeah, that LeChuck was a pretty mean guy!"
"I was talking about Elaine."
This reminds me of warm summer nights
Fuck you know what even in 2023 one of my top fav games and soundtracks of all time. Next to Zelda Links Awakening for GB and Pokemon Red Blue.

So many memories. Miss you dad 😥
MI3 has the best overall soundtrack, I think.
I'd say without a doubt!

Still my favourite island of the series

Part of me wants to get an old PC and monitor like that so I can re experience it the way we all played it the first time!

My fav too! I recall playing thia game when i was 14. Mindblowing! I still replay it once in a while. Grim fandango ost is also an interesting jewel.
I just picked up Grim Fandango on the Switch, I only ever played the demo back in the day!
Turn on Monkey Island Music……and everything will be fine 👌🏻
Damn best game of all time!
now i want some sugar water
Dude! The lighthose on Blood Island ambience and music is wonderful too.
That doesn't need to be lathered up... Cap'n Nick's shaving foam! Darn child safety caps, I can't open it.
Shhhh, just get me the ingredients
I want to know what bird that is at the beginning!
Can anyone tell me?
I think it's a possibly some species of coot? They seem to make a similar kind of short call multiple times, anyway.
