I think what you said about the question of the day was well said. I think we should also talk about the grievance after a friendship too. This past year, I lost quite a few friends after I decided to pursue college. I thought that losing friends was just the process and you move on... But what I didn't realize, til much later was how much I was used to them being around, I lost my complete support system. I spent 2 days straight crying, really just grieving over the lost of time, and what felt like a lost of life. The feeling was just so overwhelming; that you would invest so much time in their life, but they didn't think twice about your feelings. While changes do happen, and people fall away naturally or dramatically. I think we should acknowledge that there is some process of grief in losing friendships. And until you acknowledge that guilt, burden, or grief feeling you will have a hard time moving on.

I'd like to give my "answer" to the question of the day just in case my experience helps anyone. During my first year of university I started to feel that I wasn't as comfortable as I used to be with my friends, who had been my friends since secondary school. It was in those two years where I started to figure out who I was and which were the things that I liked and made me feel passionate about. For months I felt miserable and very, very lonely because I was terrified of being friendless but at the same time I wasn't happy hanging out with my friends. So, after thinking about it for a very long time and meeting incredible people through the internet I realised that I would be way happier if I was in good terms with me and my passions but friendless. I spend a couple of months without any "physical" friends to hang out with but so happy because I was finally myself 100% and everything was starting to go GREAT. After a while I met the best friends I could ever had and now I'm confident and happy. So, don't be afraid to leave some people behind because as Rachel said it's part of growing up and surely it will bring some incredible new people into your life.P.S: I'm going to miss your vlogs so much, Rachel!

My friend in Peru just sent me a note saying that, there's three types of friends in life - "reason", "season" and "lifetime". Some people come into your life for a reason and once they are done with their job they leave or walk away. Some are like a season that they temporary stay in your life and teach somethings and disappear as they done their jobs. And lastly, as Ted mentions in the video there's people who always stick around you no matter what happen to your life bc you connect to them in the deep way regardless of physical distance, culture or whatever. I just happened to this vlog in this timing and felt I'm connected to you and your beautiful friends arp in you. Love you from Tokyo xx
