beautiful skies and so incredibly tranquil when the rain hit in that canyon. Amazing!
Thanks! Yeah before the storm hit it was actually an amazing experience to be out on the water in the rain.
looked like it, and the rain made it so cozy! @@TheNotLostNomad
It’s been awhile since I watched Jerry’s video of this trip. Always cool to see how you two tell the same story from a different perspective.
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah I’m the same way…we always love seeing what the other comes up with! I have a hard time competing with the speed that Jerry edits. He can crank out a high quality video so fast. I have to be in the right headspace before I can edit… so that usually makes it take a while for me.
Thanks for Sharing!
You bet!
Holy shit!! Glad u guys made it out ok. Tfs 🤙🏽🌸
Thanks…yeah it went from being fun to life threatening quickly. Good lesson learned!
Oh my Clint!!!! I Learned to always pack for every type of situations . Even being stranded..fire starter pot, life straw, etc.. so so glad you at least had worm dry clothes!! Did Jerry have some warm fry clothes too?
Yes! We had everything to camp including dry clothes. But when it’s storming it’s a challenge to access everything…we were about to put up a tent…pull off the wet clothes and replace with dry ones. So glad we didn’t have to resort to two dudes changing in a tent!
@@TheNotLostNomad 😂😂👍👍 love and miss you all!!
@@Thatcntrygirl1love and miss you too!
Yikes! That could have ended badly if you didn't get cell reception. Getting wet in cold weather is bad news. I got caught in a storm once while doing a 12 mile hike & 12 mile bike ride back to my car. I didn't have rain gear cause there was only a 10% chance. Even though it was 80 before the storm I was shocked at how cold I got waiting for the storm to pass. I learned my lesson to always be prepared for anything after that experience. Thanks for the video.
Yeah I’m definitely thankful that the cell phone worked…we always joke about having to resort to cuddling to increase body heat. That’s as close as I ever want to be to that becoming a reality.
Man that hike sounds like a rough day…those are not fun to endure but the lesson you take away is valuable.
What was the trail you were hiking?
@@TheNotLostNomad I was hiking a section of the Ice Age Trail in WI. That day was pretty wild. Lightning was striking all around me & a tree even blew over. My bike ride was on a dirt/gravel road so I was sprayed with mud by the time I got back to my car. Nothing a double bacon cheeseburger & fries wouldn't cure though! LOL!
@@mattfroeming640ah man…sounds like a crazy hike! Makes that celebration meal taste that much better!
Yikes!
What month of the year was this in? Glad y'all made it out!!!
Thank you! This was back in March….a little cooler back then!
Wow! Do you remember the general temperature when you did this? I'm headed up there in two days to do the same.. forecast looks pretty good tho
Hey, sorry if this is too late. If I remember correctly it was upper 40’s to mid 50’s. Hope your trip went well!
No worries man! I was just curious.. Trip was awesome thx it was such a cool experience.. hopefully you get to do it again in better weather if you haven't already! Cheers @@TheNotLostNomad
Glad to hear it man! Yeah that is an incredible canyon! Glad it went well!
If you don’t know Jerry I don’t know what to tell you smh
Actually, that is not Marble Canyon. You are in Glen Canyon. Marble starts below Lee's Ferry. You're welcome.
Is there a reason NOT to be wearing a flotation Life vest ?, I mean , really , just how damn stupid is that ?
