It was really nice to see Ncuti go a bit dark there with the "good, that's a long time to suffer" line
Loved that line too!
Listening to this podcast made me slap my knee and pump my fist in the air. 💛
😂🤷🏼♂️
The doctor reconfigured the teleporter to goto a desolate planet. He said to Rouge that he wouldn't let him "dust" them
Ahh makes much more sense haha
I came here to say this but knew in my heart it had already been said. But yes this is why he asked how long their race lives when he still thought Ruby was dead and was gratified when Rogue replied, “600 years.” He didn’t want to kill them but was good with a 600ish year prison term. Love this incarnation to bits.
They tried to establish the matter transfer thing in the earlier scene on Rogue’s ship. Rogue took the screw driver by tossing back the psychic paper. I don’t think it was clear though.
If we don't see Rogue in series 15 we riot! His chemistry with The Doctor was electric, I loved the scenes in their respective ships as well as some of the pop culture references. And Shalka Doctor 👀
We need it 🎉🎉
They teleported to an empty dimension, and the way he pushed ruby out was because it could only carry a maximum of 6, so when he entered one had to leave
This was something i picked up on the 2nd watch, also i missed why they could have more than 1 on the pad when rogue says its meant for one but thats my fault cos the doctor clearly states that he calibrated it for 6 but its only 1 chance
- Technically the jukebox was used in The Devil's Chord, where it played the theme tune. "Technically" doing a lot of heavy lifting there.
- I'm pretty sure David Tennant's face was shown twice among the collection of faces, and there wasn't really an order. It's just "look at all these Doctors!".
- About your point with the bird-people - the really lazy blue muppet one looked the same in his original body AND when he took over the vicar. So it should logically be the same for all of them.
True, true and true 👍🏻
Me and my brother counted the Bridgerton's, it was 4 exactly!
Oh my Bridgerton!! X4
The doctor does have a full line about how they're changing it from incinerator to safe void in another dimension
Let’s go
16:29 At first I didn't recognized him. I thought - they did my boy Eccleston dirty with all the wrinkles! But then I saw Eccleston so I thought that maybe it's the "Brain of Morbius" faces again. I find it weird they included him. It was non canon for many years, but who knows. They keep talking about dimensions, so maybe it is a multiverse thing.
Checked, Tennant was twice.
Hey now
32:48 for story teller
Space baby’s child’s story
Devils cord musical
Boom religion
73 yards folklore
Dot and bubble black mirror
This Bridgeton
The episode was jam packed and I loved it. It felt action full but not over stuffed at all. The episode works like clockwork in between character work. Such as setting up who rogue is and also what his gadgets do, but still delivers all the sci-fi fun and a bit of romance thrown in for good measure. It was probably one gayest pieces of PG television I've ever watched. A revolutionary episode for the program - so it's a bloody good job that it's also a good watch too.
🫡🫡
Cue thousands of people spelling 'Rogue' as ''Rouge'. Again. I liked the episode apart from the title.
Feels
Having therapy doesn't just make all your problems going away it helps you deal with it also doesn't make you a non-emotional person
Been it for like 10 years 😂
Happy 4th Anniversary! Love the podcast!
Ayyyy 💙💙💙
Hey first video of yours I'm watching. Fun discussion! But your mic stands were rattling pretty bad and it was being picked up. Distracting. You could probably fix it for the future with a simple high-pass filter.
I thought this was a solid episode. The 10-minute hot and sweaty sex scene with The Doctor and Rogue was a little unnecessary though.
Hahahaha 😂😂
Nice pod guys I enjoyed your show well done 👍 keep it up. Doctor who lives on.
Much appreciated!
Kylie was also mentioned in The Idiot’s Lantern, so what is Russell doing?
He just can’t get her outta his head
haha yeah i had the same surprise in that i thought i’d hate it but actually was pretty great
Woohoo!
The bird people almost reminded me of the muppets at times, didn’t enjoy this episode
Kermy!!!
Get you "Muppet" issues looked into.
Wait Conor really has never heard of a tapestry before????
Tapestry wise I’ve lived a sheltered life
@@50DoctorPodcast woulda thought you’d at least remember it from The Simpsons ‘Fear of flying’: “Yes, yes, it’s all a rich tapestry”. I hereby revoke your fanboy status, good day Sir.
Tenant was both 10 & 14 th.
😷😷😷😷😷 I was sick!
Feel better man
Thank you!
Wasnt u meant to be doing some bet if they kissed
No it was if the didn’t kiss 😂
They should just bring back captain Jack. Then him and the Dr can have a full on bro on bro love session on the Tardis console while Daleks play violins in the background. Afterwards everyone can have a good cry. WTF has Dr Who become?👎
I've never felt more like a
"Mediocre White Man". This didnt work for me. Over the cries of "Boomer" hear me out.
Flirty Doctor just doesn't work for me. I prefer it when they are awkward and asexual. The Doctor is best ( for me) when they are ambiguous, Alien and open to being anything to anybody. Gay or straight shouldn't come into it.
If you wanted to you could interpret Doctors 2 -7 as Gay or Straight it didn't matter they were whoever you wanted them to be for you. Children ( and adults) could identify with them as they saw fit. The Doctor is everybody and for everyone.
ps I didn't include The First Doctor as he was clearly written as "Grandfather" figure and Doctors Number 8 onwards are less ambiguous depending on the writers
That’s fair Doug!
@@50DoctorPodcastIt's just a personal reaction, I love that Doctor Who has always been inclusive and dorky little kids like me found a connection to it. I know I will be shot down for this but RTD claims to be inclusive by deliberately polarising Fans.As Aidan said ... If people have a problem with the Gay stuff "F*#k 'em".
Doctor Who has always been Camp and many of the Doctors' portrayals are open to interpretation, but it's never been explicit. As a kid I liked to pretend I was travelling with The Doctor, I'm sure you were the same. Hartnell was my Grandfather, Troughton was a clever clown. Pertwee was a cool dude with great taste in Jackets. Tom Baker was the best mate you wished you had....and so on. The Doctor was for everybody with an imagination and a taste for adventure.
@@boomerdoug4242 Well, you just alienated 70% of the Planet. How inclusive of you. We are in a completely non-inclusive era. But I agree with your sentiments completely.
Well, sorry it does not work for you. Buit that has zero effect on anyone but yourself. Go build birdhouses or something.
Birdhouses? What a great idea. Thank you for the suggestion.
After being a fan for over fifty years, today is the day I let the Doctor go and also everything attached with it. Goodbye guys, it's been great. 😢
Thank GOD. Adios.
@@donny1960thanks, you must be one of those miniscule viewing figures 😅
@@Domgo-d1w Well there are rumors about the "miniscule" things about you too. Seems unusual to just hang around things you find no enjoyment with. You must be the life of the party.
@@donny1960 with patter like that, you should write for Doctor Who 😂😂😂😂
Found the bigot.
This was just a rehash of The Girl in the Fireplace, on a fraction of the budget I'm guessing
So Dr Who is basically just gay porn now. I guess that explains the ratings being the worst since 1963.
