Thanks Steve, just bought the exact same rifle as a project, was trying to work out the firing pin, as it was floating and preventing the round from being picked up from the magazine, missing the firing pin spring. Now i know where it goes, so i can fabricate a new one and get the old girl cycling again. Chears :)
Good video. I was able to disassemble my Savage Stevens 56 bolt and clean out 60 or 70 years of dirt from the inside. And if my firing pin ever breaks, I know I can replace it in minutes.
Thank you just the steps I needed. My great uncle gave me one as a boy and as long as I kept it clean it was mine. Still shoots most of the time but the firing pin could use a rest.
Any chance you know if the M56 bolt is interchangeable with the M53A? I have a broken striker in my 53A. I only see M56 bolts available. I was hoping to buy a M56 bolt and simply take out the striker.

Thank you, just what I needed to know! I have my grandfather’s old rifle from when he was a kid

Thank you very much for this video and I plan on going to the company you mentioned in the video to try and get a complete bolt assembly
The firing pins on the new Ruger 10/22's are horrible. I'm getting a ton of misfires. I did a few mods to it. Plan on trying it out today...
Thanks have a Stevens 416 that does not always fire the cartridge, replaced main spring did not solve issue now I will replace firing pin.
Let us know how that turns out.

Call and ask the nice people at 3:50 receipt. I don't know them I was just a customer.
Did you ask them? I would love to know. Whole bolt sleeve is missing on mine
