We had that same experience on the Dream back last spring. The Ship was very Rocky when we watched the show. Tim, The Animated Movie Came first, then the Broadway show( With Susan Egan) & then the Live Action Remake.
Especially when there's food involved, I gotta remember to not watch these videos when I'm hungry! Lol. All I do is eat snacks on snacks on snacks while watching them and I'M STILL HUNGRY! LOL. Seriously though, the food on Disney ships is ALWAYS Amazing and Delicious!

Beauty and the Beast was actually Disney's very first show on Broadway! It opened in April of 1994- Disney on Broadway has been celebrating 30 years this past year. The live action movie came out many years later in 2017. I haven't have the chance to see the cruise ship show yet, but from what I understand, it's a bit of a mix with a lot of the visual designs taking a cue from the 2017 movie. I'm curious which songs they used. The Broadway show has a lot more songs, and some of them serve the same purpose in the story. For instance, Beast's song "Evermore" from the movie shares a lot in common with "If I Can't Love Her" from the Broadway musical.

I was a cast member, not on stage but for Disney, in the Los Angeles company of Beauty and the Beast for the entire run form March or 1995-September of 1996. So the broadway musical was definitely before this show, that I am not a fan of mostly because I worked the broadway show and I am against all these live action remakes, and it was the first time Disney was on Broadway. Also the kiss goodnight did not work for us on the maiden voyage.
I love love love you guys. I’m a mom of 2. One boy that is 3 and a beautiful baby girl that is 5 months. It’s VERY challenging but watching you guys eases my soul. You guys made me want to spend my daughter’s first birthday HOPEFULLY on a Disney cruise. I’ve been going to Disney 3 times a year since I was in Diapers and I never been on a cruise!
