As a Brazilian, i must say that this video is an accurate representation of the daily life of an average Brazilian citizen. Ans that includes having breakfast wearing huge animal masks and playing guitar in the mountains until you fall into space.

The voice cracks aren’t tolerable in other types of music but that’s the good about indie music, no autotune, no over productivity of the track, just a raw feeling and that warm feeling. I love that he doesn’t use autotune which is why I think a lot of people love his music and I love it too.
This is the case for grunge and rock music too

Mind Peace 17 he does use autotune, but there’s nothing wrong with that at all, I love his music, but you have to understand that autotune isn’t so people can sing the right key, it’s a musical aesthetic that musicians like to use because it sounds nice, some artists do use an extraordinary amount though which I think is ridiculous but it’s shouldn’t be frowned upon to use it. Love his music though.

I'm sure that this comment will get lost in the depths of the internet somewhere in about a days time but I feel such an urge to write it anyway. This song has been a lifeline for me. I don't know why. It's not a fantastically written genius masterpiece and yet it is the most special song to me. It reaches a part of me that most things can't these days. It feels so honest, sad and yet hopeful- like the end of a beautiful film. It is pure and inspires a sort of young love deep within me, almost like an old friend. Through death, love, depression and heartbreak it has been here and I will always be thankful for it. Thank you Declan x

This song means a lot to me. This girl showed me it, she played it all the time. We always went on late night drives together to all sorts of lookouts and spots. She took me to places from her childhood and shared it all with me. This song reminds me of that feeling of being with her and looking into her gorgeous blue eyes. I told her what it meant to me and it’s become an important song to us. I hope I see her again soon.

One night on our 5-day trip to NYC, we arrived at the hotel so tired after walking the streets of the Big Apple all day that we fell asleep with our clothes on and on top of the sheets. We put a playlist on Spotify, and by the time I woke up around 3am, this song was on play. I kept listening to it before getting up to put on my pajamas and go back to sleep. There I was, in a hotel room, lying next to the guy to whom I had shown my several versions, with whom I shared as many worries as memories of things we have done that once seemed impossible to both of us. I remained there until the song was over. Then I turned to look at him and he was still sleeping. I thought about how grateful I was to be in that city with that person. Every time I listen to this song, I travel back in time and feel what I felt that early morning.

I just read the lyrics again. 6 cars and a grizzly bear... you can't eat leather but you can't stop me... maybe it's some Brazilian politics thing I don't understand, or another specific situation I don't get. I felt the same exact way with "Astronaut", too - I totally understand the musical references, but not so much the lyrics references. Like, musically Brazil ties in with James Taylor's Mexico and Beach Boys' Cocomo... I can hear it in the appropriate section of the song. Obviously I miss a ton too, but with the lyrics, they may as well be redacted, as much as I understand.

I went to Italy this year for an exchange program during June. I heard this song at a “last day of school concert” and from then on I listened to it the entire trip. It holds so much meaning to me, but now that the trips over it makes me so incredibly sad for a multitude of reasons. With acid I always felt like I had one hand on the wheel- if I found my thoughts were getting dark, I could make myself think of something else. But with mushrooms, it's more like they tied me up, threw me in the back seat, and I just had to be open to where ever they decided to take me. Either way, every time I've tripped on any substance, it was a highly positive experience.
