3:48 are you saying use flippers? What are flippers? I'm watching for help with not just structure height but also to hopefully find a more precise way to build on to preexisting in-game structures. I've had a hell of a time, if you're off by a single degree it will kick your foundations off by several feet.
nice video man, just wish this railing support could be done on existing structure, was building shadow cave for fun and had to do a trail of ceiling underneath existing ceiling with the snap point to actually be able to put the dedi floor where i was planning to do so. would be nice tho if someone mastering the craft of these snappoint would actually be building a cave in single player showing how to apply these at different floor.but thx for the tips dedi floor and cryofridge floor always been a mess with table and stuff
What happens if u place the foundation a little to far left or right it still snaps right ? So u you create a snap point and your cryofridges arent perfect anymore
tbh the old one is more specific when it comes to get the right height since it’s given by the fency supports but you NEEED space I like this one better tho
im sorry, its only you use a ladder and climb on it to get yourself angeled right. Then you dont use your mouse but move arround with WSAD and use the arrow keys to look up and down. On that way you can make sure everything is in line because when you use the ladder it makes you look perfectly straight
@@darkskater107 check the middle part of the video At some point in your base you have your foundation support Start there, get the snaps and then drag them to the area
@ Train Tracks honestly no clue I never used them , but I can help with vacs. There is a little trick that’s available to snap them to existing structures
I did that too in the beginning, the propblem, especially for bigger tribes is the structure count, also if you learn it yopu can pull it of in a few seconds... and at the end its actually easyer then palcing all the other structures & on top of that its way cleaner and you dont need to worry about the cryos because they will also snap too ;)
@@losangelesbfs well with the old method yes then you would need toi drag it from the bottom cuz it would be hard to get the snap on the small areas on the side. now you can just drag the snap to the path on the side. but tbh i dont know a cave where you build a warroom or a crafting high up in the air
@@EsauGonzalez-p1l so first oif all the video u mention I know about and it is mentioned in the video, and i linked both channels in the video description.

flippers are the things from the scube suit
the boots to swim in the water

@human9547 it most likely does not snap anymore and it will be not in line with the rest if it does

yea kinda
You mention the Ladder Trick, sadly I'm not familiar with what that is care to explain?

On that way you can make sure everything is in line because when you use the ladder it makes you look perfectly straight
when you jump on a ladder it lines your veiw up perfectly with the foundation and walk around to line it up without looking in the wrong direction

So how do I add flush dedis/fridges/troughs to an already built base? I can't get it to ever line up with the existing floor/ceiling.

If you can connect train tracks I'll be in your debt. I'll also leak some exploits. 🤔 If you're interested in that.
@@RangeOrder Train Tracks ?
@@smarft Yeah train tracks have trouble with foundation support if structures aren't snapped to them first. Same with vacuum cubes.

save yourself the headache boys and just use wooden tables and elevator tracks.

@@smarft how do you do this for a top floor in lets say carno cave(building a feeding bay), do you have start from the bottom to pull this off?

lol, tables are just shit, and elevators are expensive and ugly. Railings are the best, and this is a very useful trick to get the correct height.
