How To Sew A Scrunchie Wristlet Key Chain

Sew a scrunchie key fob using wide elastic.
Cotton fabric 4" wide and 24" long or your desired length and width
1" wide non roll elastic cut to 9.5" or your desired length and width
1" key fob hardware or any size needed for your chosen fabric/elastic measurements

I’ve always enjoyed making key fobs. Over the years I’ve seen many employees and bosses use those plastic springy key chains for things like a register key. A scrunchie version would be nicer.

We do not need scrunchies for our hair 💇‍♀️🤣. I use key fobs for all of my sets of keys. I plan on making one for my mailbox keys so I can wear It on my wrist when I walk to the mailbox. When not in use It can hang on the keys hook and look pretty 🥰

I have made hair scrunchies. I have added key ring hardware to fabric loops. I have added metal strap ends to fabric straps. But I don't think that I have added key fob ends to fabric straps. These look very handy and useful. I like the tapered ends to fit the key fob hardware. This is going on my future projects list. Thanks for this video!

Key fobs are my weekend project unless I get sidetracked by the rainbow butterflies 🌈🦋. I love a useful and quick project. Not all gifts end up being practical and useful but key fobs or scrunchies can work for most everyone. Even for the guys.
