- This is the new Mercedes-AMG ONE! The Formula 1 derived hypercar is finally here in production specification and ready for the builds to begin. This is the perfect opportunity to explore it in full, exterior and interior, to take in all the details and check out the new Race Plus Mode!
First launched back at the Frankfurt IAA Motorshow in 2017, the AMG ONE celebrated 50 years of AMG and the immense success the company was having in F1. Powered by an incredibly complex system that is as close to the Formula 1 powertrain as you can get; it's a 1.6l turbo V6 with a series of electric motors that produces a total of 1,063hp.
In addition to exploring the exterior design and aero, checking out the engine bay, and taking a seat inside, we can run through all of the details about this stunning machine with the Motorsport Package with painted livery akin to the F1 cars.

This honestly is such a cool car, the way that they were able to put in the Formula One engine into a road legal car, and the owner doesn't need an entire team to start up the car

Incredible machine, I hope I can see one I person one day!
I live in Singapore. Just few days ago while riding my bike on the highway, I saw the fastest production car(Guinness World Record)!!! I was so excited but sadly, I was unable to take a photo with it. The Koenigsegg Agera RS. These cars are so rare, just to see them in front of us is a treat!
This just shows us how quickly tech and speed change in 5 years since this was dreamed up. Heavy and “only” 1,000 hp for $2.2m. That just won’t cut it in 2022.
Rather have a Gemera
You are mistaking formula one with dragsters. Formula one was never about acceleration figures. If it was, they would build dragsters.

Always makes me wonder if you wanted to use this car as a daily. Could you do so, the airflow grills and cut outs seem integral to the use of the car! Would often see Rowan Atkinson in his McLaren F1 but that seemed almost normal in comparison to this AMG one

Worth mentioning that the "extensive" maintenance at just under 50.000 km is priced at 850.000€ before taxes according to the buyers contract. Which means effectively driving 100km will cost you 1700€ before taxes or fuel. I get its an f1 engine, but thats taking the most expensive maintenance away from bugatti and just blowing them out of the water. :D Really wonder how they got to that figure, as youd imagine youd be able to completly replace the entire engine, gearbox and batteries for that price. Sure there may be very few if any ever reaching that, but its crazy to think about.
Looking forward to see videos of it driven. Really seems like an engineering marvel with lots of interesting tech, but less focus on performance. 1063hp is no joke, but the weight for 1695 kg kind of is.
Most of these will not see or barely reach 100km in there life, they are most if not all gonna be garage queens.

@@Shmee150 Gets even more eyewatering if you think about your most recent rallye. If someone was to take their AMG ONE there and drive 3000miles (approx 4800km) that would be 81600€ just towards that planned maintenance. Almost 10% of it in just 1 week :D
That's not exactly true. The 850.000€ are the "worst-case scenario" for this planned service.
It is basically a complete drivetrain replacement, but of course only if absolutely necessary.
Surely depends on how hard you push the car in those 50.000 km!

Yeah its pretty heavy but for a reason. As amg claims the car carries the "pit crew" with it. it can start without any help etc. + all the new emission laws have added quite a lot of weight with opf and so on.
@@sapnupuas7271 it have and the batteries etc , I think they first said their sight was 1200kilo and they missed that by a mile . It will be fun to see how it perform on the track and I’m sure this will be one of those legendary cars in the future that goes for astronomical prices

@@sapnupuas7271 well ther goal for 1200 was for a street legal car without need is pit crew , look at the other cars in its claaa you have Jesko with lots more power and 1400kg , Aston Martin Valkyrie that they to call a road legal f1 is 1200kilo.

The fan in the engine bay is installed in a direction of a puller fan. Maybe they want some of the heat to be pulled to the vents in the back.

It was clear as daylight when the first news arrived a few years ago. That AMG has problems fitting the One in the emission regulations. Now the finished product is not even close to the Project from 2015. Hell it gets outperformed by 10 year old Porsche 918 and McLaren P1. Not street legal for the US market. AMG underestimated everything on this. And everyone who had the money to buy it. Will face some serious problems in terms of increasing value because most of these cars are assets. When Tobias Moers left AMG the One was doomed to fail. EU regulations hit the last nail in the coffin of the AMG ONE. It was a dream too beautiful to be true.
