    I've read the 'Ask and it shall be given, Seek and you shall find, Knock and the door will be opened' verse more than once, and I've even sat through sermons in church that covered it---but it wasn't until I tripped across JP's lecture and heard the way he connected life experience through his clinical practice that the lightbulb turned on. I started Asking, Seeking, and Knocking and the results stunned me. So did the cumulative effect of aiming with deadly serious intent. I'm so glad this clip is circulating, it's solid life advice.

      he is the only psychologist I know who does not create repeat patients.. they get healed.. and do amazing things in their lives and for the world.
      His wealth are the souls he has impacted who have found Gods purpose for life through his teachings and therapy... way beyond others willing to butcher their clients for more money( treatment sessions).
      the credibility of his professional skill makes the devil squirm when Dr. JP throws in a flavour of God and Jesus Christ. indisputable truth.

    I don't always follow Peterson's advice. But when I do I get the results he says I'd get.
    Literally cleaning my room gives me ease of mind beyond what I expected before trying.
    His advice might sometimes sound silly, but it works more often than not.

      I started making the bed.
      Then I took three days and scrubbed the tile grout lines.
      The shower is next.
      The point is, the more you do, the more you see can be done.
      Set goals. Small goals are easier.
      Success starts with making your bed

    • @neilmccann5826
      @neilmccann5826 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Miguel Silva I wouldn't call it bland, or simplistic....it's rather basic. The key is that after that goal is invisioned, you must stay focused. I attended a real estate seminar where the speaker said that we must ask ourselves repeatedly "Am I making the best use of my time to own $1 M worth of real estate in 5 years?", if not...Focus!....Work the plan! Stop wasting time watching Futball games, partying, surfing the net. BTW, Miguel: Did you make your bed this morning? I did.

    • @lifestylemedicinals8692
      @lifestylemedicinals8692 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Miguel Silva The word "bland" could never be properly used in a sentence in regards to Jordan Peterson unless you're describing that he's the opposite. And no, I'm not a Jordan Peterson fanboy at all, just an admirer of his work.
      He's an extremely deep thinker, no matter what the subject matter is, including something as simple as making your bed and cleaning your room.
      These aren't bland topics, just simple or basic.
      But you'd be surprised how complex and foundational the simple things in life can be from the proper angle and perspective.
      As a skateboarder, I'm often looked at with skepticism and annoyance when I tell other skaters to practice the basics of rolling, doing ollies and just feeling comfortable on the board. They want to know how I got so good, but hate when I tell them how.
      This could be applied to the same advice that JP gives.
      ANYTHING in life can be made simple or complex, whether the subject itself is simple or complex at face value.
      But what's important to our human experience is to get the foundational things down and DEEPLY understand why/how they're important, then build from there.
      Big muscles are nothing without a skeleton, and both of them are useless without a properly running nervous system, which is lifeless without a heartbeat.
      Give credit where it's due man 🙏

    I think part of the reason why people are reluctant to set out concretely defined goals is because they're often monumental, so they're afraid of falling short. Keeping things murky provides a cop out to stray instead of being held accountable to a specific set of parameters.

    If you don't feel good about who you are, chances are you will be depressed, as were so many members of clergy, before they came out as being non-believers
    .
    Can you imagine your selves taking counsel from a psychologist that was a preacher, who then turned to atheism as his new system of belief?
    There are now hundreds of ex members of clergy that have joined The Clergy Project, to find employment elsewhere.
    From Apostle to Apostate: The Story of the Clergy Project … authors … Catherine Dunphy, Richard Dawkins
    Leaving a job in ministry is unlike any other career change. Not only are there feelings of isolation, but there are also fears about how to communicate one’s skills in ministry to another Job. Most members who had already left church work detailed a long arduous journey to find employment outside of religion. Many, if not most, of them returned to school, seeking degrees in psychology, social work, business administration, and computer science.

    Jordan believes that preaching the Christian gospel would not only be good for him ... but it would also be good for all others.
    “I was Jordan Peterson’s strongest supporter. Now I think he’s dangerous. He wanted to establish a church, he said, in which he would preach every Sunday.” Author … Bernard Schiff … professor emeritus of psychology at the University of Toronto.
    Someone that goes by the pseudonym SueDenim wrote the following pertaining to Jordan Peterson … “He's gone off the deep end these days, attributing "evil" to his enemies with his moralistic absolutist rants, its painful to watch.”
