At first the marriage and living in cloud recess was overwhelming for WWX and he couldn't fool around as much as before, and not wanting to disappoint madam yu and Jiang fengmian, he had drastic personality change, no longer the rebellious, lively WWX and became quieter, more gentle and followed the rules. JC and madam Yu are protective of WWX and think that he's being mistreated by LWJ and WWX's personality change has got them worried that the Lans are not treating him well, therefore having a bit of a guard against LWJ.
LWJ started being less strict with WWX and is trying to show that he cares for him.
