  • Learn how to make a shadowbox card, it's easy! Also we will make a pine cone and tassell (with scissors and paper-no dies required!) and I'll show you how to easily color a Stampscape scene and how to use several background stamps to make a pretty patterned paper. Lots of tips scattered in for good measure too! More ideas on my blog: thefrugalcrafter.worpress.com Music credit (if music is present in video) Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)

    Lindsay, Thank you for all of your frugal hints, also thank you for being so joyful. I loved the way you rolled the pinecone in the brown ink. I would have never thought of it. I tell you a little Soy Latte sure goes a long way for you. You should get this coffee more often. Maybe some day you will learn how to bottle your Awesome energy. I love all of your videos .

    oh, it will press flat and fit in an envelope and pop out when opened BUT the pinecone we made will add too much bulk for a regular envelope so you can mail in a padded mailer or box or just hand deliver:)

    It`s funny.., my whole life I`ve known shred scissors for cutting herb stem and chives. Not long ago I bought some for 4$ at Aldi in the herb section :)) The first thing I tried creating with them were chicken socks and they turned out phantastic in just 2 minutes. That`s what I call a multitasking tool for nearly no money :)) Thanks Lindsay, for bringing so much joy and inspiration into my life. Sunny greetings from Slovenia. Hugs, Josi

    Awesome "Guy " Card. Thank you for the blender tip. I'll bet that works better than all those pouncers I bought. LOL I should have known you would have a better answer. I love the Stamp Scapes and have used many for fnice cards. This one is my favorite with soaring eagle and fisherman in boat. I also have never met a Kathy I didn't like. Thank you again.

    You are the best! So creative and inventive. I love your tips and tricks and enjoyed every minute! I usually skip through longer videos but not this one! The pinecone idea was great. I have a bunch of little ones from a container from michaels (on sale after Christmas a couple years ago) but i want something more flexible. Love this and going to try it out! Im making a Christmas card for a boy who is dying of cancer.

    sorry, ran out of room LOL! It is fun to experiment with to make stamps you cannot buy but not a real money saver, you are better off to order stamps you like online (joann often has 40% off stamps in ink) because you will not save any $ with that machine. I got my stampmaker starter kit on sale at custom crops for $100, I like t tinker, it's fun when all goes well, but expensive and aggravating when it does not. Also it takes a lot longer than the video makes it look like.

  • @thefrugalcrafter
    @thefrugalcrafter  11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have a machine the processes photopolymer stamps, it is called a Stampmaker by Imagepac:)

    • @influentialolive
      @influentialolive 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich I have looked at that stamp machine, I simply Don't know if I would use it enough to warrant the purchase.

  • @thefrugalcrafter
    @thefrugalcrafter  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    ran out of room again;) so bottom like: Don't buy it if you are looking to save money on stamps. Do buy it if you want to design custom stamps that you cannot buy anywhere and if you can set aside a day when you are ready to make a batch of stamps, it is quite a production between designing and printing the negatives (you wan to get as many as you can on 1 sheet because a sheet of film is $1.50), processing the stamps and cleaning it. It is fun but takes WAY longer than the videos make it seem:)

    Lindsey, did you say where you got the circle cutter from? Lovely cards, I can't wait to try this!

  • @thefrugalcrafter
    @thefrugalcrafter  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Honestly, it is an expensive rig, I would not buy it knowing what I know now. Not factoring the $160 for the machine you have to figure about $3 a stamp in supplies (film/polymer packet) and each time something messes up you add another couple bucks on the cost of the stamp. The largest stamp/stencil/embossing plate you can make is 2"x3.5". Getting the negative dark enough it tricky, most people have to buy another printer $40 added to the cost. And even with best effort you waste some packets.
