What do you think happens to Julianne and Eric right after the film ends?
Possibly killed by the police. Possibly go their separate ways.
Based on their mutual effort in killing Todd I think they go on as if this event never happened, more bonded by the horror than the lack of a love she thought existed.
Obviously Eric gets killed by the police. Julianne lives happily ever after.
I think they leave driving separate cars like they arrived.
They become the heroes of the neighbourhood. Majority of the neighbourhood used Todd's company to renovate their kitchen. He has been harassing the neighbours and killing anyone who doesn't use bleach when cleaning the blood off the wooden floor. The police have been trying to catch him for awhile now and now the neighbourhood can breathe a sigh of relief.
Come on, who answers the door to a stranger nowadays. Remember the 3 P's pizza, package, or pal. Anyone else I just stare at them through the peephole till they leave.

I really enjoyed the realistic take on the baddie forcing one side of a couple to say they don't love the other. They don't fight, and she's not distracted by it. Their lives are in danger; they've got more important things to worry about.
I also liked that just because one or both of them didn't love the other, doesn't mean they would be okay with the other being hurt.
Very refreshing take.

The fact that a 12-minute film that I can watch for free on TH-cam draws me in more than a two-hour movie I have to pay 12 dollars to see in theaters says a lot about how much talent and skill the people behind Alter have and about the blatant lack of effort from big Hollywood studios in spite of their obscene budgets.

What did you like so much about it?
In a way, they worked really well together to kill Todd; he got the knife in position and she pushed Todd onto the knife. I feel that they will look at each other in a new light, and this will draw them closer to each other.

You have to give Todd some credit. Very few housing developers care enough to take the time to personally follow up after the houses are completed.
How quickly the horror began, even smoothly. I enjoyed that transition into hell.

In all seriousness, the guy who played Todd did a great job playing this roll. That "friendly" yet invasive portrayal is perfect for this type of situation...you feel like you should be hospitable because he seems to know the owners but at the same time you get a feeling of unease...something is just a little "off"...
when she hugged him at the end , I was waiting for her to stab him too , because he doesn't love her

Sadly enough, yes, we do live amongst monsters who will throw a big party in your home while housesitting, throw away your garbage bags, and then let a person come barging in simply because they claim to be a neighbor.
I think the psycho guy is really the house-sitter ... I mean like actual literally in love with the house he built ... in a very extreme way ...

This kind of gives me a jigsaw vibe in that the guy has been through something similar, as he mentions, and wants to test other people to see what they would do to survive. I don't know if he killed off all his victims, but if he strongly believes these two won't die for one another, maybe at least one person would get free and the other would die because their spouse didn't tell the truth? I'm guessing since the guy is alone, he sacrificed his spouse (lied) but was able to live.
It probably traumatized him, so he continued with this whole thing by building houses, having someone live in them, then do his little routine. Obviously, this time it didn't go how he expected, but it seems he also paid attention to the decisions people made. How easily they welcomed in a stranger, etc. But it also makes me wonder if in the beginning, he would make himself less suspicious, but after who knows how long of doing this, he felt quite confident he knew the outcome, which ultimately ended up being his downfall.
As far as what this could symbolize, I suppose it could be the strength of a relationship and how you never truly know your spouse until something major happens. In which case, you learn to either move past it and stay together or you fall apart and split up. But yeah, that's what I came up with 😊

Apparently, there are low crime suburb and rural areas in the US where many people don't lock their doors when they are at home - seems weird to me, too. Even if I wasn't afraid of criminals, I usually wouldn't anybody just to be able to walk in.
@@chrisrudolf9839 yeah, a friend of mine has been living in Brazil for a while. Two years, I guess. I think he had written that there are places (in US) where people are not used keeping the doors and windows locked. We have places like that in Brazil, too. However, we'd better check these things out.

This is a super horror film. The acting was extremely good and realistic. Obviously the Director paid attention to details.

I like how it turn out differently than what I expected. Alter are good at what they do.
He may not love her romantically but they were willing to fight and kill to defend each other...... that’s a type of love on its own, regardless of how their relationship goes they would now be tied together for life after something like this

Good pick-up. I find the more I watch this movie, the more nuances I discover. Enjoyment of the film is in the imagination of what it all means. Connecting all the loose ends requires thought and reflection. Those who enjoyed the ending of the last episode of the "Sopranos" will love the ending: those who must have all the ends tied up in a bow will not.
@Mee Chee Well, he NEVER reveals why he suddenly grabs her by the hair, and puts the knife to her throat, so now you've got me ... second guessing myself. I just rewatched that scene several more times, and all I can be 100% certain about is that guy is totally ... CRAZY!

I want a sequel. Want to see which way writer Josh Morrison will take the story. Love the sirens in the background of the final scene. Julianne is holding on to the man who killed for her but said he didn't love her. Her expression is the window to her soul; relief, horror, confusion,confliction, pain and uncertainty. Where do these guys go from here?
The best part is that all this could have been avoided with the addition of a peep hole on their door but he built the house and made sure to put no peep hole on it for a reason. He planned this out long ago
Everyone who liked this should watch a movie that’s somewhat similar to this called The Trip, a bit funny but also stress inducing due to the hostage situation. I love it so much.

I was thinking that something about what everybody was saying was odd... Quite too utopic or something like that.
So I saw it again. Twice.
Todd thanks the couple more than one time, for cleaning up The wood... He even thanks before The couple do it with his blood (he's thinking The couple are about to hide all that happen? Technically it was self defense, The couple had nothing to hide...). So... Maybe he isn't talking about what happened in that morning, but the night before?
In the end, you can see some things that points in that direction (Is this short something more deeper than a home invasion by a lunatic?) :
1) The garbage bags: how can someone just accidentaly put so many bags (30?) in trash? Maybe They used so many that lost counts? Or was in a hurry while using them?
2) The plant/flower: correct if I'm wrong... But a housesitter isnt supposed in make everything keeps in order? The plant in The kitchen was awnful... They didnt take care of it at all??
3)The mess: rewatch The clips between The credits. Look at all the mess thats around The house... How could They possibly had ended The cleaning up?? The must be talking about other cleaning, not The house cleaning...
I dont know... Knowing alter, theres gotta be something else in it...
Maybe they arent even The originals house sitters? 👀 That would explain none of them both Knowing The adress.

I want to know if Todd gave Jules the correct address for the house and if so, why? He knew how long it would take for them(police) to get there? He knew they had probably already traced the call? He wanted to get caught and stopped before he hurt them? I don't really understand anyway what he was hoping would happen with him being there anyway? What was Todd's endgame. This was fantastic. Todd- the actor did a great job

Wow! That escalated quickly. What I'd call anxiety horror. The filmmaking and acting made me feel very anxious and tense throughout.
Actors in this are so good! Expecially the Psycho. He does excellent use of voice acting.

Alter is a host platform. With rare exception, they have nothing to do with making the films they present, just like Omeleto and Screamfest and Dust and others...
When I want some random fun time ...I watch alter videos and it never disappointed me. That guy just looked creepy and weird on the door itself and when he just barged in that's the time to call the police.
