I've had the good fortunate of taking the train from Oban to Glasgow twice in the past six months and I agree that Tyndrum is an amazingly beautiful area of a country full of beautiful areas. The holiday cottages look very inviting if taking the train from Glasgow. Good for a couple of day hikes at least. Thanks for sharing, Clive.
Thanks for your comments. I must admit I have tended over the years to drive through without stopping, ditto when on the train, but having now sampled the village I could be tempted to stay in one of the many places that do accommodation. I didn't show in my film a rather large hotel which mainly caters for coach trips and is only open in the summer.
Thanks for your comment. I had a soup in the Tyndrum Inn and that was enough for me. I used one of the café-diners you mention a few years ago, and the food and service were both awful so I didn't want to go there again. Maybe, with hindsight, I should have included a picture of it in the film but without commenting.
Thanks Clive, jolly interesting.
Thanks for your comment.
Lovely video thank you:)
Thanks for your comment.
Good video. I am also learning a lot about pronouncing Scottish place names.
LOL - well I hope you get it right next time you go to Tyndrum!

Beautiful area there, Clive 😃👍
Hi Frank - glad you enjoyed it!
You didn't try any of the *three* café-diners in the village!

@@fussyboy2000 Well, funny you say that, as I have a small camping gas stove in my van. It's the blue van parked at Tyndrum Lower.
