Some slow, some fast, and very tasteful playing, unlike these dreaded, un-musical shredders thats bombarding TH-cam nowadays, very nice.
I don’t know how many times I’ve come back to listen to this. It is the uttermost cool! So many great licks and melody.
Man I would love something like a TrueFire lesson on this with tablature and backing track!

Distortion is great and all (Hendrix, Eddie Van etc) but Rockabilly guitar is hands down my favorite guitar sound of all time! 🎸😊

I am not sure of his name, but he plays so good on every video, and has a good sound, and by the way, the guitars are great, one reason is the P90's and similar, another reason is that he doesn't use reverb, or very little, reverb does sound bad to me.

I see this guitar more often for rockabilly tutorials than a Gretsch???Altough I have an Electromatic G5420T that does perfectly rockabilly this Guild is calling my name to buy it.Love those single coils pickups,they have a great bite and chime.

Dam boy you Rock good example for me I been teaching myself for a year freestyling I got the fingers going but have to refine the Style so this little video helps big time to motivate and engrave the sound into the brain awesome sound man can't beat your moves you got it down !! Guild have done themselves a real favour choosing this fellow to demo their guitars... what a bloody good player... I'm so tired of listenning to the same old, same old, shredders and noodlers ('...here's a G chord on the neck pickup...' yawn...!) what a pleasure to hear someone who can really play a good old-fashioned 'tune' and properly entertain us in a demo... brilliant! I find myself looking out for this chap just to hear him play....
Some guitar players just have that something that makes their playing sound great. Mr. Ronquillo is one of them. I don't know if it's a talent they are born with, but I'm guessing that it is. I think working hard at true refining is a big factor too.
@@sunsparkle8443 Clearly he has polished his technique to the nth degree, I love all those brief little chords (chang!) he throws in on the beat between finger picking passages, like it's the easiest, most intuitive thing in the world. To him it probably is, and I think I've learned more from simply watching this chap just... play... than from all my so called 'teachers'...

THATS exacty the tone I'm seeking! I was drooling over Guild D.E. 300-500s from sixties but they start at about 6k! ouch off to find one of these! I dont like the look of the pickups but oh my they sound fabulosa! De armonds?

Just bought one of the Guild guitars. It is with out doubt one of the best guitars I have. I have two Gretsch and this is better finished, better playability and outstanding value for money. Does anyone know where I can get this backing track?
