    This group was the childhood inspiration of the Bee Gees, because the Mills Bros were a favourite of their fathers.

      That's really funny to think about! Disco inspired by trad pop/jazz? Huh, everything's connected, I guess.

    • @allymayful
      @allymayful 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lifeontheledgerlines8394 Not that funny if you were aware that the BEE GEEs WERE NOT JUST DISCO!!!!!! THEY WERE AMAZINGLY DIVERSE MUSICIANS, WHO WERE PERSECUTED BY THE US MUSIC MEDIA - Hence your ignorance. Despite the US, they have still sold over 250 million albums!!!! And BARRY is in the Giunness Book Of Records, as the 2nd most successful songwriter in the history of music, after Paul McCartney.
      AND now Barry is SIR BARRY GIBB, being knighted for his contribution to music and charity.

    • @allymayful
      @allymayful 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lifeontheledgerlines8394 Please click on my icon/photo and see all the brilliant music they created over 5 decades, and Barry still is. You will see, at the top of the page that I have created, separate Playlists for each Decade - mostly in chronological order. Be prepared to be surprised.
      NB - Of course they were influenced by many musicians, including the BEATLES. BUT this was the music of their early childhood, before modern popular music, that influenced their amazing harmonies.

Also who are these "dancers" you mention because from what I saw there was not a single dancer in sight. All that we see here are 5 very well dressed men harmonizing beautifully to a gentle and perfectly harmless old song. Honest to God did we even watch the same video?!?!

      @beatmasterblake3461 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know right! My comment wouldn't have gotten anywhere close to those two likes without that "motherfucking" just thrown in there for seemingly no reason. It's almost like I was trying to emphasize how good a singer I believe Harry Mills is and how there is no replacement for, the one, the only, the man, the myth, the legend, the sweetheart of a generation, the great HAAAAARRRRRRRRY MIIIIILLLLLS
      In all seriousness that is just how I speak and I type the same way I speak, I tone it down when I need to and am in a professional environment, but when I am just commenting on youtube, whats the point in censoring myself?
