    Hi there sir! i want to make a dc motor(25000 max rpm) rpm measure device. which sensor would be best for this range linear or non linear or bipolar. i dont know quite about this. i just heard that 3144 hall effect sensor work at low and high scheme and what type of sensor is this linear , non linear or bipolar. so would it be best for making a rpm measure device?

    • @robojax
      @robojax  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, here read about the 3144 on the datasheet www.elecrow.com/download/A3141-2-3-4-Datasheet.pdf it is just a sensor. it is up to you to use as RPM counter or other application.

      Any way to use this to count magnets on a floor? say to guide an agv when it arrives to a number 3 as example it could turn 56 degree's and then when it hits magnet 4 it turns 34 degrees?

    Thank you for a good explanation of how this sensor module works. Can you get the sensor by itself? It is very small compared to the module board.

    • @robojax
      @robojax  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      the signal from receiver is being amplified by the op-amp chip. You won't get the same result with Ardouino.

      You can connect multiple hall switches to the same arduino. But if you want to use them separately you need to use an Arduino board. Or you can use digispark board th-cam.com/video/eW9WgPlcPAw/w-d-xo.html

    Can i used this sensor on an anemometer to measure wind speed?

    • @robojax
      @robojax  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      if you know how to use it, yes. you would some rotating object with certain surface area and number of blades. Then you have magnet in one of the blades and this sensor is at the proximity of the blade detecting the magnet. you would have to make the delay in the loop to 1 delay(1) which is 1 millisecond or remove it completely if your application needs faster result. remove any serial monitor printing as it will slow the loop. good luck. I have not made any device like that but I believe that is the main principle or at least I will do it like that.

    Can you do a video making a Hall Effect analog (or digital) module with the Arduino powering 10 LEDs, with each LED indicating the distance to the magnet as it passes the sensor?

    • @robojax
      @robojax  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      that is possible and very interesting. I have to look at the components and make it. I will put it on my list. thanks

    • @mikewelch3903
      @mikewelch3903 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      , Arduino has an example “LED Bar Graph”. The Arduino has 10 LEDs plugged directly into it. The LEDs are powered on one at a time using an analog signal from the potentiometer. I’m wondering if a guy swapped out the pot and instead used a KY-024 Hall Effect sensor using its analog output. Wouldn’t the KY-024 analog out (A0) signal from the KY-024 be doing the same thing as the potentiometer (1K or 10K???), except rather than turning the pot knob you would be moving a magnet across the KY-024 path. Would this work?

    • @robojax
      @robojax  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have several LCD bargraph. search for them on my channel.
      in theory, yes. but I don't know if the hall affect outputs analog signal and IF it is proportional to the input flux or magnetic field.

    • @mikewelch3903
      @mikewelch3903 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, this particular Hall effect voltage output is directly proportional to its distance from the sensor, at least theSS49e is. That is why and how the LED dims and brightens when the magnet is pulled in close or pulled away. There are some hall effect sensors that only toggle off and on, some that latch, and some that are like the 49e.
      I will see what videos you have. Thanks for your help.
