Had x 4 VW Transporters over the years. X 2 1.9tdi and x 2 2.5 TDI same engine in the touregs. They were the most unreliable vans I've ever owned. Cam shaft sensors, oil leaks, Cam shaft wear, split intercoolers and radiators issue with Electrics and Soaking wet ECU. I've had two MK1 Vito w638 Both over 23 years old and not once have I ever had an issue. I would never buy a VW Transporter again, only a Mercedes Vito.
That’s a good question. Not a clue really…. It’s. 2014 2.0 Diesel; single turbo. Unsure if engine code yet as I haven’t really looked at it properly yet. We will find out! 😁 thanks for watching
Very good video, straight to the point, no wild pans & zooms, perfect audio. I am in the south of France with a T5 Caravelle 9 seat LWB 2.5 lhd.
I think that’s a great price, the van looks super clean so hoping you can get it running again
Great purchase and I look forward to watching the rebuild
Hello mate, just getting back to VW 2.5 bus ownership, you have a new follower.
That’s a good price 👍 I just bought a 2015 T5.1 with all the toys for 6k, the bargains are out there if you look around!
Sounds like a good buy. At least it isn't the twin turbo engine which I believe has a bad reputation.
Just replaced high pressure pump in mine common fault around 100k they disintagrate😢
If it's not the biturbo it should be a manageable challenge. The biturbos can be real money pits when they go bad.

Thats good money, even if it does need an engine
You probably said and I missed it. Which engine is it? Can't really tell by the engine clips. (Definitely not an expert here)

@@retromechanic2238 Thinking if it is the 180hp- you need a new engine..
Anyways looking forward to next installment!
@@teller1ifyI don’t think it’s the 180 BHP; from memory those are BiTurbo right?
I think this is the 102 BHP model
Seems like you got a bargain there - found out what’s up with it yet?
So....yea
Ahh you left me hanging for the next one 😂
For that price, I'd have had it without an engine, fix it your looking at a 6k profit
Hoping to make it our own, just enjoying the process rather than flip 😁 thanks for commenting & watching!
Boring.
