Sick interview , I was lucky enough to know most of these guys and experienced a lot of the things that were said first hand , brew raising , bombing , all nighters, bopping tracks for miles , sleeping in depots In first class trains, robbing paint , I used to see all these guys throwing up dubs and doing pieces when I was 13 years old running from feds, being out on earners all the time , we used to all be wearing gap anoraks we used to have them in every colour puffa jackets too , ice bottom reebok trainers , we used to all meet up in the park in new Malden or the train station and the day would start from there lol , I’ve even carried tins for some of them ao they wouldn’t get caught with them, I will never get them days back and they was the best days growing up we all used to have the best times
Excellent interview! 36:04 The name of the writer you mentioned was Zeds (Zedo) THC/BRS. His brother wrote Emba / Embar and he was tragically killed recently.
@@LondonConfidential Agreed, his stuff was often a lot more abstract, when there was quite a defined SW London style at the time. Always thought it kinda takes guts to pull something different out the bag when the scene was pretty insular and aggressive.
@@zanewarden9867 I remember being 14 and going to Chessington with a bunch of school mates back in 1997/98 and was dazzled by the Dame, Piez and Ser work on route from Clapton to Deep South. I remember a Dame dub near a tunnel that was HUGE. I was N/W so witnessed all that graff for the first time. Ser was bussin his ‘R’ like a werewolf character. Legends

U know what I was lying in bed that night and remembered that Rip Emba
Zeds was sick, amazing artist. Him and Opsar used to smash SW. Sad to hear about his brother.
@@nick260682 Opsa / Opsar was a seriously underrated writer. I feel that he brought the best out of Zedz and their best work often was done together.

@@nick260682 I agree and I think it took some balls to do stuff no one else (other than their own crews SC, BRS, THC Etc) were doing at the time.
Dame was a proper writer...
