my theory is it is the safeguard or one of them. level 1 safeguard is the memory drug. 2. is probably a method to kill everyone outside if a mass exodus happens. in the event they do make better suits and bigger air tanks etc to eliminate the chance of them going to another silo. And the final one that just kills the entire silo. that ring of pipeline around the perimeter of the bowls the silos sit in probably carries whatever is killing them. The cloud of dust as Solo called it. Also if you recall when people go out to clean before the door opens up to the outside but after the airlock door shuts behind them they are sprayed with a gas it looks like. Now it's timed with the opening of the doors outside so at first you think well whatever pneumatic pressure was part of the door opening mechanism but then I thought to myself why would they vent that to the inside? Not an engineer but have some knowledge of mechanical systems and it doesn't make sense to vent that into that airlock and not outside. the camera lingered on those vents a bit too so that also makes me curious. Are they spraying them with the toxin as they leave? So as not to have to use more of it in that pipeline? So maybe there's 4 safeguards incrementally tiered. each designed to cover specific events.
I'm reading the books as fast as possible to know more about what is happening, however the Series doesn't always follow the books and its hard to keep up. I should have all three read by the beginning of Season 3. Its compelling reading none the less.
@0:41 what is the pipe thingy that sorrounds the silo mound on the inside. Any ideas ?

bro you're a little late on the ep 9 recap. we're discussing the clip from ep 10 already.
This season has moved too slow and has become almost boring to follow. I hope season 3 will be better.
I agree, Juliette is having a Daemon Harrenhal arc.
