    Leuk verhaal!

    I love the way this woman spoke about her success just by saying she was lucky. Love the gift sent by Tina Turner to her, that says a lot about her as well...wish the world was full of people like these

    I loved that song "hanging on a heart attack" by Holly Knight when she was in the band Device!

    Thank you Holly Knight. Thank you Tina Turner.
    The Best has a special bond to Australia, particularly sporting fans, used in the wildly successful rugby league campaign of the 90s.
    Some further Aussie connections include Holly’s aforementioned mentor co-writer Mike Chapman as well as Tina’s manager Roger Davies elevating Tina to the status she richly deserves.
    Thank you for honouring Holly with an enduring music collection - let’s add another stardust to the mix including her 80s dancefloor classic Love Is A Battlefield performed by Pat Benatar.

    Holly also wrote the amazing track, 'One Of The Living', for Tina. Song produced by Mike Chapman. 'One Of The Living', is brilliant. Great lyrics. I assumed Tina would have gone more in that direction of the song/ music style for her album, 'Break Every Rule". But she did not.

      Holly also wrote "love battlefield" with Mike for Pat Benater-band. Another no.1.

    Musically and lyrically speaking, the 80's had just a few "brains" that built the decade, Holly was one of them (Desmond Child could be another example)

    'The Best" track. Songwriters Mike Chapman and Holly Knight. Bonnie Tyler cut the song first, about a year before Tina did. Bonnie's version is not as impressive as Tina's version. Tina co produced her version of the song. Tina knew the song needed life.

    • @jasfan8247

      Yes, i think Bonnie's version was "produced" with Desmond Child. A sure-hit guy! Tina's version with Dan Hartman.....he was "on fire"!

    Gotta love the drunken path coz of dog digging holes story.
    Though her 80S success is well deserved, I far more appreciate Tina's stuff with Ike back when. Simply so much more _nice n rough_
    If only Mr Turner hadn't been the baddest partner any woman could have...
    Best thing then, Tina did move on and had that string of hits.

    poor ike was abused not tina she used domestic violence to get out of their contract ike was the real victim and tina was the real abuser

    • @jasfan8247

      Mostly the real story is somewhere inbetween haha. Ike was the boss trying hard to keep it all together, he couldn't trust nobody so he was working too hard. Tina saw everything falling apart and ran off. After Ike hit the wall he redeemed himself and was a great guy and "the best" band-leader!

    • @Neil-pv8pw

      @@jasfan8247 no in contract law violence makes any agreement exempt and Tina married a wealthy record exec but prior to that she was advised to cite domestic violence which she did and she then signed with a major label and went on to marry an exec so Tina was the abuser not icke

      @@Neil-pv8pwOk, there probably were a few courtcases after divorce (on account of "irreconcilable differences") but Tina had signed with Capitol a few years before meeting her later Swiss husband. Ike always apologized for "slapping" Tina but never admitted to "beating", and so say his other 13 wives......!

    • @liambegley1739

      Shame on you ignorant people. Read Tina's book and many other peoples accounts of Ike's brutal beatings. Tina spoke the truth. She didn't to lie. She was always the star. She knew she had talent in abundance to conquer the world and play to millions of her fans. She did so with dignity and on her terms.
