The neighborhood layout reminds be of 19th Century to early 20th century America, where families would buy a lot, higher an architect and have a custom built home. Often the homes would occupy most of the lot and have no side windows in anticipation of future structure occupying the lot next to it. This is in stark contrast with a planned community with large setbacks on all sides, accompanied by large windows that allow the sunlight into the house
