If you have scratch on your car bumper on you have paint scratch anywhere on your car in this video we will explain how to fix paint scratch and make it like it never happened. Paint scratch on your car bumper is very common due to parking is tight spots or even being hit with shopping carts. In this video we will demonstrate how to fix car bumper scratch / repair car bumper scratch and make it almost invisible. We demonstrated how to fix car bumper scratch on this BMW but the procedure will work on almost any car with pained bumpers. Fixing a paint scratch and make it not visible takes time and patience but it is doable. Hopefully the video will be helpful to any of you that need bumper paint scratch fixed on your car.

Great video, I tried this myself but had to put too much paint on the cover black plastic bumper, car is white. Question, should I sand down the high spots before applying clear finish ? Thanks
Should really wet sand before applying the clearcat so you're not accidentally sanding most of the new clear coat off.
He also says that if you have a low spot you should apply more clear coat. No. All low spots should be fixed by applying more layers of base coat. Clear should be painted over already flatened surface.

@@Sincereh keep adding layers of base paint and sanding them until it feels smooth and consistent. You may need 3 or 4 layers. Then add clear coat, sand and polish it.

For the clear coat i recommend doing spray clear coat across a bigger area

Do you need a base coat? Like a primer? Im looking to do a large area on my bumper about 10 inches long , how about aersol primer and aersol OEM paint after sanding it down?
Primer will make it last longer, but probably not worth it

I wouldn’t, I’d layer the paint as needed, wet sand lightly, clear coat, cure at least 24 hours then wet sand compound and polish. But don’t take just any advice, research takes time but it is Worth your time!

Why not just keep applying the color coat until its level, then clear coat?
Becomes lumpy, just tried it. Need to sand it after to level it out and bend it.

THANK YOU FOR THE PERFECTLY EXPLAINED VIDEO. My dad bought my car like 5-3 years back. But I haven't been able to drive it because I didn't have my license but now that I do I want to get into fixing her up. She has minor scratches but I want her to have a clean and sleek look but those catches don't give her justice.
tip: put more paint to create high spots and come in and sand it down. What you see those indents in the touch up is low spots. Its ok if you have a bubble with the new paint u can sand it down.
Very helpful video. I am going to try to fix my daughter's bumper which is a lot worse but I am confident this process will work. I love the accent!
