In retrospect now, I get why they went with Sami. Gable's about to go on the run of a lifetime as a heel. A long term story with the Academy being the mistreated babyfaces, Creeds joining as heels that take their spots, faction wars, him finally getting the IC title, etc. They just desperately need to change his theme since it doesn't work for his character now. The decision to have Sami win is still stupid to this day, HHH refuses to give Chad a proper push, he got bitched around yesterday on RAW by Sami and Bronson. Chad has way more to give than Sami and could’ve been a huge star if he had his moment at Mania. HHH isn’t going to do shit with Chad because he clearly has some agenda against him. Why else would he have some stupid ass decision like Sami winning over a bigger moment like Chad? Why did he not capitalize on the momentum of Chad during the first Gunther match? Why was Chad pushed into obscurity? This has never been the right move Chad is undeniably a main eventer that they refuse to push

I can see in the long term, trying to take Triple H's perspective as a booker, that a heel Gable paired with the Creeds along with the Alpha Academy drama has more mileage than a babyface Gable. It also better utilizes six other talents. Also, I don't think they're trying to make him look weak, I think they're setting up a triple threat with Sami retaliating and Reed attacking him. Personally, I would love it if he dethroned Sami at MITB. The heat would be astronomical. That's just my perspective, I'm trying to be optimistic about it.
babyface Gable had miles more to go, he only did one notable thing which was the Gunther match. sami holding the championship means less than gable, if gable won it would've built a star and the run he would've had that sami is currently having would be much more beneficial in creating someone new @@xreamed
