I don’t know, I can kind of relate to his situation, though the outcome ended up being far different. And it was minor compared to this, and happened on Facebook and COMPLETELY fucked up in such a way that for 2.5 weeks my parents dreaded every time the phone rang because I was that close to death. But I won’t go into the even worse details unless someone really wants to know
It just makes me wish I had his strength and fortitude that helped lessen the blows from the media.

Um, I have Borderline Personality Disorder, so I become very attached to people. But I realized one of my friends was too toxic, and so I ended the friendship without warning (to avoid their crying and screaming at me). The next day, which happened to be Halloween, one of my friends informed me that she made a post (idiot hadn’t blocked me yet) saying that my parents (who were in their late 60s then), and I verbally AND PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED HER. It was complete BS, but her friends believed her - except our mutual friends who blocked her too. So then it’s a post saying I’m forcing people to unfriend her, which I quickly debunked.
All this shit was in November 2017 and it gave me PTSD that went undiagnosed, I started to hallucinate, lost all emotions for 2 weeks last February. The anxiety was so bad I slowly stopped being able to eat.
One morning my mom found me unresponsive - I was taken to 2 different hospitals. I had gone into liver failure, and the liver doctor looked at my numbers and wrote me off as dead. I had BARELY a 40% chance of making it, and then I went Into respiratory failure the next day. I was skin bones because my body had eaten my muscles when I had nothing left. And I was on forced oxygen because without it my oxygen levels went down to 82%, and critical starts at 89 or 88. And in less than a year I went from 300 lbs to 140. And I had to relearn how to walk - not fun.
