Just FYI, I’ve had one since late April (just a few weeks less than you Shane) but mine still has 85% battery. Perhaps you use it more than I do. I’m pretty satisfied with battery life. Thanks for the short. I think follow-ups like this are important when people are evaluating.
Hey Shane, I just wanted to mention how much I appreciate these videos. I had to wait ~5 months to get mine. It works so well and I love the lock and the Home Key feature. Mostly importantly, I bought it after watching your video on it. Thanks for this 6 months update about the battery, I think you mentioned in your review of the lock that the battery would need replacement in about 6-8 months, so seems to be on point.
This is why I want to install a commercial electric lock with the key pad not on the door yet on the wall. I also am looking for the kind that has the camera, intercom type system as well.
It looks like you have to delegate user setup to homekit to use homekey. A question on homekit lock configuration capabilities. Can you confirm if you can/can't add a guest passcode on a schedule? For example the dog walker only on Tuesday and Thursday? Looking at examples of homekit lock guest setup I don't see this option. That's a big downgrade from common smartlock capabilities for homekit.
Were you using WiFi connection? Or with thread, latter has a huge battery life improvement. But you have to get a Apple TV or HomePod mini something with is thread compatible, so it connects the lock to internet
hey boss! does your homekey animation ever stutter when your iPhone is locked? Like coming out of the dynamic island? in your video here it looks smooth. mine looks smooth only when the screen is 'awake'. when it's technically locked and dim, it always stutters, as if the animation is trying to catch up to the lock unlocking.

Probably has quite a bit of daily use. I got it the day it came out and mine is still at 87%. I do love it! it is amazing.
I see them at Lowes. Just feels like $320 is a bit steep for my wallet.
Finally got my hands on one at Home Depot. Can’t wait for it to arrive

Does this lock have thread? They said it would but I can’t find anything confirming it does once they brought it to market.
