Thanks Bront! I watched a few Packmaster videos during the fusion and this was the first I'd seen a comp similar to this proposed. I like it, it's a solid option. Having left the game the same time Hydra was introduced and coming back about 1.5 months ago, getting up to speed on Hydra and all the other changes has left stretched and scratching my dome at times. I've left Packmaster un-fused, waiting for a personal CvC or for a future fusion Champ Chase that I need points. I'm hamstrung with books to make him viable, he's not at the front of the line yet, but great to know this is an option. Everyone else I saw just ran him with Fellhound. Keep up the great content!
Fellhound is an option for protecting his buffs, but he really needs the resistance anyway. I had a few other Hydra videos on the basics of Hydra if they'll help you out too, but I'm glad this was useful for you. Thanks for the feedback and good luck slaying Hydra.
Hey, nice video and very informative. I have a couple of questions, is it possible to tune this team with yomeko? And since we can't afford to miss a turn and if we don't have Shamael, we have to go for permanent veil teams?
Rector is the easily accessible Veil champ, but you could also go with a fast Doom Priest for example can keep fear somewhat under control as well. But Packmaster is going so slow he should always have Veil up, so he should be fine. Yumeko booked is a 5 turn cooldown, so you could in theory use her, but you'd need to be going at a 5:2 speed rather than a 2:1, and speed boosting would be more problematic. So if your Packmaster was 120 speed, you'd need a 300+ speed Yumeko. (compared to a 240+ Painkeeper). Amusingly enough, Painkeeper I think brings more to the table overall. Yumeko can't steal turn meter, and her hex is a 1 person hex, where as Painkeeper has a pretty chunky heal on a 4 turn rotation when used on the Packmaster team, but if you don't need the healing, then Yumi could be good. In theory, Kymar works as well, but now you're talking 3:1 speeds which is asking a lot.

I have all the champs but shamael. I’ve never pulled him, duchess, firrol, etc. closest I have to a perfect veil champ is rector. Is there any way I can make this work with her?
@@bront_catherdermy problem with rector is that they have to be at full health to get the perfect veil. Makes it a little tougher since it’s conditional.
@@zclark12345 she has a chunky heal though, as does Painkeeper. And on a 3 turn cool down that should keep your party healed. Even more so if you have an Uggo.

For some people, 64M would be a personal best. Particularly for a team of mostly epics, a daily login lego, and a new fusion. I work with plenty of people who can't even 1 key normal hydra.

Yup. I think I mentioned Rector as an option instead of Shamael in the video. Painkeeper will help her a ton too

Agreed. I suspect we'll get a new hound soon, as they hinted there were more coming to other CCs.
