Thanks! In my experience, providing that the fabric or yarn is prepared using a gentle olive oil soap (or similar) and washed out with it again afterwards, I've had no deterioration of fabric. I also like to neutralise pieces that are in direct contact with iron by giving it a 15 minute soak in a bicarbonate of soda solution (with warm water) before washing. This works very well!

Looks beautiful. I have read in many natural dye books etc that iron can damage wool. Have you found this to be the case at all?
