Beautiful project. I'm going to start it soon, please pray for me. This will be my first crocheting experience. I've learnt about stitches from TH-cam.
I'm working on it right now with this video and everytime I open it your comment ist the first one and the "pray for me" always takes me out! 😂
How did it go for you, have you finished it yet? :)
@@kapra1783 hi. Yes, i finished it last year, and it took me almost 15 days to complete it. I made it for my sister and she wore it during winters last year. I loved it. 🙂
How's your going?
@@nelaanna5879 I'm making one for my sister too!! What a coincidence 😅 its going great, it's a very nice tutorial! I'm almost finished, just need to get the boarders done and sew it together but I ran out of yarn so I'm waiting for my yarn order at the momen 🙂 I couldn't wait so I started one for me too in another color 😄
You will do great .😎
How did it turn out? I’m just starting it now.
This cardigan took me 5 days to get it done but it was worth it! I love it. Thank you for the patern ❤
Great job!
How much yarn is needed?
Loved the pattern, easy to follow made two for my granddaughters
@@mishti0305 it depends on the yarn you chose, i didn't use the brand in the tutotial as i live in europe not the US.
I would say for a 4 to 5mm hook yarn type i used approximately 1050m of yarn. Hope this helps ☺️
Awesome it will take me longer but what an awesome feeling
I finished this project yesterday. My very first time making a cardigan (was making ponchos, scarves and hats before) and it turned out beautifully! Loving it!
My first ever crochet cardigan and I’m delighted with the result. A fantastic tutorial, thank you!
I finally decided to make this sweater and I’m not disappointed. The video is super helpful as I’m a visual learner. It’s so much easier to watch the video and compare it to the written pattern. Your patterns are beautiful. Thank you!
Awesome! Thank you!
I cant read patterns it never works for me I am a hands on learner that's why I depend on you tube .
I'm in love with my new cardigan 😍😍😍
Thank you so much for easy tutorial 👏
I love this tutorial. I love how you can just measure most of it and make it as big or small as you want, which if I think about it enough also means that I can use whatever stitch, size yarn, or hook I want to use. I might try this with a chunky yarn. :D
you are the best teacher! love your tutorials. Thank you for this
Loved making this cardigan , thank you for the brilliant tutorial xxx
I haven't ventured into wearables, but I love this and am going to give it a go. Thank you for your awesome tutorials!
Glad you like them!
You are truly gifted! Your patterns are beautiful, unique and so easy to follow. Your clear video, along with your clearly written directions, make this a pleasure to crochet. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.
Thank you so much❤️
Thank you so much for generously sharing this pattern and tutorial with us. 😊❤
I’m finished except for the band . I got confused a few times, but figured it out. Love it.
So pretty!!! Thanks so much for sharing this. Have a good night!!!
Another beautiful project. I just absolutely love all of the versatility for this one and cannot wait to get started on it. And-THANK YOU for the child sizes!! I purchased the collection and am so happy to have something so cute to make for my young daughters! ❤
I’ve just made this and it’s beautiful. On to another colour, THANK YOU MJ
Just finished mine. Waiting for my buttons to arrive tomorrow and then I'm good to go. Turned out beautiful and can't wait to wear it. I used Lion Brand Heartland in Lassen Volcanic which is a pretty pink color. Used about 4 3/4 skeins and bought 6 which leaves me enough to make a matching hat :-)
You always make beautiful wearables!
Thank you so much!
Awesome tutorial, thank you for showing your artistry, the best, Zoe
Halfway done and loving this cardigan and this video....also the pattern is easy to follow!
Wonderful!
This is awesome it will probably take me awhile but I believe I could manage by watching you. Thank you 😊 🎉
You, ma’am, are brilliant! This method is SO EASY and so pretty!
All I have too do now is the seam and find buttons I like. Thank you for this pattern. Everyone will be asking me to make one for them.
I love it and it fits perfectly. I’m a bit old for this style, 81; but I don’t care. Love it.
Making this pattern so far has been a challenge since I'm left-handed and I'm following the pattern in reverse, but it's a ton of fun! Can't wait to see what the finished product looks like.
It would be so helpful to me if you showed the whole view of the cardigan. Because I get confused when I can’t see it
I'm only ten minutes into the video, and this is the first video of yours I've watched! I already LOVE the way you are explaining everything so in depth!!! Thank you so much, I really hope I can make this cardigan soon!
Wow I just finished mine size medium fits size L/XL I think cuz yarn I used is a bit thicker I used the mainstays sparkle worsted weight in taupe splash and it’s beautiful I used 4 whole skeins a started a 5th one to finish I might add pockets with the left over yarn but I’m not sure yet.
Thank you so much for sharing this pattern.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I made one cardigan(long version) for my teenage daughter. It fits her perfectly and she loves it. 😊

Woww!! How much time did it take you? And please share if you're expert like her. I'm trying to figure out how long it would take me... I'm barely an intermediate crocheter .:)
@@avantikamisra Hello, I am not an expert and I mostly knit, but MJ made the tutorial easy to follow and it took me 5 days to finish the project , just a few hours spread through the day.❤️
@@simonalpop9047 Thanks for replying. That gives me a framework for how long it might take me. I am thinking of using Mandala yarn with one of their brighter colors. 🤗
Thank you this beautiful I'm going to try this for my granddaughter
You do beautiful work. Thank you for your videos.
Thank you!

Espero poder terminarlo
I wish you would show the whole sweater instead of close I pictures. I do love it
Just bought the pattern for the long version. I’m super excited to start this. My yarn will be here tomorrow. I wonder if I can figure out how to add a good 🤔 Great pattern! ❤
I just made this. It’s so beautiful. Thank you. I love all your makes!
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful work
😍😍Beautiful love love project Thanks for sharing 🌻🌻🙏👌
I am using the wecrochet Mighty stitch yarn in the color canary
Love it!
YES! I'M TOTALLY GOING TO DO THIS!!
Enjoy!!
Ohhh that's beautiful 😍
Question for you all about the sleeves!
Do you think it might be possible instead of attaching yarn and chaining, to just turn and do a foundation half-double crochet for 45 stitches instead when you reach the left corner?
TIA! Looking forward to taking on this cardigan!
Looks so pretty 😍, I am working now with my sweatshirt using my scrap 🧶 yarn
very nice thank you for sharing.
Me encantan esos ganchos 😍
Sleeves start at 13:22
i made this sweater for my granddaughter, she turned twenty in February, she absolutely loves it!!! Thank you for making it so easy for. Was wondering, my other granddaughter has a birthday in March, doe you have a video for a V neck sweater vest? thanks again
@ mariocolin11129 what type of yarn did you use
Hola,me podrias decir cuantos puntos po go para una talla S? Me encantan todos tus videos y he tejido varios,un abrazo❤❤❤❤
❤ vous expliquez très bien je m’abonne👏🏽
This is a great tutorial although I've used it twice, both times following your count pattern, I've had to finish the sweater because it was way off both times. Anyway thank you.
Hi MJ, another amazing cardigan! Thank your for sharing the tutorial. I wonder if the PDF version of this pattern includes measurements? I would like to purchase it to make this cardigan but with a thicker yarn that I already bought.
I’ve decided to do this cardigan for the CAL. Silly question: what is the benefit of extended single crochet rather than half doubles? Curiosity and the Kat….😸
It’s a different look. Half double gives more a ridged row look.
I just finished the cropped version of this and it’s awesome! It took a little more effort because I did all the ribbing in a different color.
I really want to make another one with short sleeves, but I’m not great at adjusting patterns for changes like that😢
Do you have any suggestions on how to modify to short sleeves? Or another similar pattern available with short sleeves? Thank you for all your great patterns and wonderful videos!
Do you have the PDF pattern? It includes instructions on how to leave off the sleeve on the 4th page. I also have the Bora Bora sleeveless cardigan www.mjsoffthehookdesigns.com/crochet-sleeveless-cardigan-pattern/
Love love love 😍😍😍
Hi, I really like your videos. It seems like you do a single crochet different? Can you explain?
I am new to this craft, if you wanted longer would you just do extra rows. Thanks for your time.
Yes!
Me encanta
Jadore ce que vous faites c'est domage que c'est en Iglais
Hey @mjsoffthehook I‘ve started this as my first ever cardigan and I love the tutorial. So easy to follow. I’ve added 10 more rows to the band bc I wanted it to fit loose. I used 3mm cotton yarn 8/8 and I feel like it looks still bigger than in your tutorial, but I start to worry that it will be way too small. Will the blocking do the trick?
This is a GREAT tutorial. MJ mentioned that she was going to give the link for the buttons. I love those buttons. Where can I find them?
Here's the link www.amazon.com/dp/B015C5IRJI?tag=onamzmich0145-20&linkCode=ssc&creativeASIN=B015C5IRJI&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.3OUYZPQPAQDZL&th=1
Obrigada por ensinar a fazer esse lindo trabalho 🥰🥰🇧🇷🇧🇷
Mj I love all the cardigans you do! I’m a lefty anyway you can do a tutorial for left handed people?
I'm sorry I don't 🥲
I did this top. But the sleeves near the wrist are not narrow. What to do. If there is an option to share photos I can share it.
You can decrease the last single crochet stitch and the and of the sleeve so the ribbing will be tighter
Holaaa por favor 🙏 me podrían ayudar con cuantas cadenas podría empezar para la talla L y para los brazos también. Por favor. Antemano muchísimas gracias 🙏 💓 💕 💖 ❤ 💗
What do you think about square nots for joining new yarns?
No please don’t, they turn into slip knots very easily with a slight tug on one end. You could try a fisherman’s knot, it takes a bit longer but is more secure, a quick search here on TH-cam will pull up plenty of video’s.
I'd love to make this for my granddaughter but I can't seem to find the pattern for the cropped version in a child's size (12). I only see the long version. Thanks
Very pretty I really want to try this one thank you
Thank you! 😊
Hi. This is my fist time trying to make a sweater... the tutorial part of adding the other arm and then including it, it skipped.
Hi, Am beginner & was doing the crop cardigan. But ran out of the yarn. It was a mill end mixed fiber. But i managed to get the closest colour, it was a chunky yarn, please help.
Thank you pour le modèle but vous parlez en pouces qui correspondent à combien se rangs exactement????
Is the only difference in the two patterns the band and the belt? Like if if want to make this long I don’t need to make the panels wider or anything?
I purchased the pattern and will be referring to the video as needed, thank you. I’m using a different weight yarn, 4 weight, and my sizing is off, should I just add rows to match the sizing shown in the schematic on the pattern?
Yes, that will work. As long as the width is good. If the width is not good you will have to likely start again and make sure your gauge is correct, you may need to change your hook size.
Trying to figure out if i have enough wool. What size is an xs in inches and do the sizes then go up in 2 inches at a time please?
Thank you for sharing your amazing creation!
It's my first attempt to a proper wearable and I'm finally making a project for myself 😆. I'm new to crochet and gets confused with finding the right or wrong side. Your marking helps a lot. Got questions though:
I'm at the point where I'm doing the ribbing at the bottom and I noticed that the marked right side ends up being the inside. Is that supposed to be like that? Should the peaks be going towards the center or outwards?
And the right panel that you started working on at 43:40 came out to be the left side of the actual garment?
I'm loving this video, but for the life of me I cannot find 62 stitches across the top of the band. Is there something I am missing here? I have 62 rows to stitch into but I only seem to get 47 stitches to go into. Please help me
I have some spare chunky wool, as I need a larger size, do you think this would be okay. Thank you. Love your tutorials. 💕
This cardigan uses bulky weight yarn th-cam.com/video/1QlT4Vp0BM0/w-d-xo.html
Beautiful work! I have just started making it and I’m wondering how long is your initial strip of single crochets in the back loops for the size M? I have done the same amount of chains as you did and I’m thinking that it might be too wide actually …
I do not have that measurement. Is your gauge correct? If your gauge is correct your sizing will be accurate.
Hello! Somehow I completed the left side front panel and sleeve before the right side, is that going to be a problem?
