I think this would be a great option for my bigger crainkbait rods...wish they made a shorter version for other applications....great video!

Great information thank you for sharing John. Never installed one of those a big help. I can see where there could be problems. If you wouldn’t have done this video. Thanks

Good stuff John. I installed one on a recent build 10 foot 6 in rain shadow blank. Like the handle don't think it was good choice for the build.

@ so what I see John that rod being so long and that handle system being so light, the rod ends up being tip heavy and I may have to add a little weight in the butt cap too equal out. Just ordered a new real for it so I’m gonna wait to add the weight until after I put the reel on

@@theduck9939to balance a build i used the tsuka 2 on i bought some metal washers at ace hardware that are close to the inner diameter of the butt, and put a long nylon washer with an outer diameter the same inner diameter as the metal washers, then placed the setup on the long protrusion sticking out of the butt cap. Perfectly counter balanced the rod. I suggest balancing with whatever reel you plan to use on the setup for ideal results

John, by putting the butt on first it makes it impossible to balance the rod in the final assembly. The handles are so light it sometimes makes the rod front heavy. Thoughts?

Lots and lots of paste and lots of time fitting and arbors. Is pricey but what is the advantage?

@@craigcampbell2687 - really not that much paste Craig, and it want just enough to make sure the arbors don’t fail.
