You would need Virtual DJ Pro, the Pro version allows you configure the software settings. Blaze mentioned that in the video at the 6:05 mark. I have been using timecode with my controller for about a year, using VD7 Pro and Serato's control vinyl.
Ive had mine for 18 months and never looked back,. I probally spend about 30 hours a week on it and use it most days. Ive played big gigs with it, slep rough with it, travelled different countries wity it and it still works perfectly. i recomend using it with Traktor pro. enjoy.

Does the N4 or Mix4 have beat loop buttons? You know when your in a loop and can move the beat to a higher or lower number, thanks for answering all my questions your knowledge is invaluable!
I am going back and forth between this and the mix deck. I like the for decks, but i like the cd and usb capability on the mixdeck. I know the mix deck quad has 4 channels and cd and usb, but i don't have the money currently, what do you recommend
Im considering buying this along with Traktor 2, but do you recommend any other controller for remixing? I know I will be abusing the remix decks in Traktor 2. Also, how does it compare with the VMS 2?
@@ellatino55 and the scratch functionality worked okay? I picked up N4 a few years back and dug it out this week to play with. I'm finding that the track stops when I touch jog wheel but won't scratch. Tried it in VDJ and it scratched grand, so thought it was something up with the mapping maybe. Did scratching really work with it then? Thanks for the reply BTW
@@derman3658 there are a few tweaks you had to make in traktor. It’s been so long I honestly don’t remember what I had to adjust. You can also look into the firmware one the hardware itself to see if there’s anything to adjust on jog sensitivity. I had an Reloop TM8 that I mapped into traktor with ability to scratch and mix stem files. It worked nearly flawlessly aside from minor issues with some macros I setup. I had to tune jog sensitivity and change a few settings in the mapping because I also had the jog “glide” when scratching.
Hello, I'm considering this one myself (being a vinyl addict and new to digital dj equipment) How are the EQ's for analog use without computer (eg. running turntables)? When using timecoded vinyls, can you still use the controller to set cue points for your vinyl? Can you still mix in normal vinyl when in timecoded vinyl? Can you attach an analog mixer to it? Can you replace faders easily? Thank you in advance...

I ordered a copy of serato dj and your never gunna guess what, its not compatible till "winter 2013" well its nearly summer so what does this mean? I have essentially wasted the upgrade cost for nothing now I have contacted both Serato and Numark but nothing back yet what would you suggest do?

nice review on this been using N4 for the last 4 months and just added TRAKTOR PRO software with it and it works pretty well

Check your input and output options and also make sure you have the proper soundcard enabled...

so are the 2 mic inputs on their own line or is it the same as the ns6 whereas they are shared by decks 3 and 4 by a selector knob?
