I think the problem wasn't so much design as it was going from locked up brakes in the air, to brakes trying to stay locked up under 6000lbs+ truck. About the most extreme way to test that poor little bracket.
"Please check wheel fitment on all after-market calipers" You could see the wheels plaining material from the calipers, the tiniest flex from the jump and they caught them and tore them off.
rotor hats, spindle brackets and calipers flex with torsional forces. Stoptech has a good video explaining it. a decent amount of caliper clearance is necessary when offroading due to all the shock loading from jumping it and the weight of the vehicle.

ferdis7 looks like it ripped the mounts off for the calipers. Both at the same time seems weird. Have seen it happen on drift hacks when people get big fat 2-4 pot calipers for their hydro handbrake and only use 3/8 steel plate for mounts (which are usually very poorly designed) or dont bother using proper grade 8 high tensile bolts
ur saying that a whole brake piston penetrated a brake pad . the actual friction surface that also has metal backside u dont know how caliper houses pistons depending on which from one to 5pistons applying a clamping force to the back of brake pads (2),one on each side of the rotor . i believe the heat expanded pushing pads and brake pistons back into housing forcing the fluid out of weakest point of system . it had some custom like vent lines coming down axle tubes that brake fluid was dripping from. or pad was so low from wear all the pad was gone and it was metal to metal which causes spark. the caliper doesnt touch the pad doy
higher end breaks squeal at low temperatures, if you use them like normal street driving they don't get up to temperature and get kind of glazed over and squeal so you need to do some hard braking to get them back to normal, his were probably just at too low of temperature

Those calipers breaking on the mounts like that would have been a mystery if it wasn't for the cameras they would have been scratching their head forever never seen nothing like that before still awesome
I knew something was wrong when I saw the calipers spin with the rotors. I'll give it up to the calipers they were clamped down good on those rotors. A++ for carnage and he technically did a first by breaking those caliper brackets. But man that jump would have been sweet right into your fence. 👍👍

the caliper was rotating with the spin of the rotor😳. There was an issue when they connected them, that allowed the caliper to move with the rotor and snap the brake lines.

Sparks from pads attempting to bed (I don't think jumps are in the procedure) and I'd guess over torqued caliber bolts (vinny must have used his impact gun on them). That compression tho!
