I was actually at this show, second time seeing them. When I heard they were coming back to Houston I just had to go again
In addition to their obvious musical qualities, I'm always impressed by how they interact with their audience & get them so involved with the show (shoe!). This surely is the essence of their success & longevity, introducing truly great music to new upcoming generations!

You can say all you want about all the other GREAT Beatle tribute bands, but hands down, none of them can top The Fab Four. These guys have nailed it perfectly!!!
I agree . . except for the acts/mannerism of Gavin Pring. He is acting like an extroverted imitation of George.
Yeah, that guy needs to sort himself out!! Lol
When I started with the Fab Four in Vegas I stood by my amp holding tge guitar up to my ear and hardly moving...
My bosses told me that even though I was "acting and 'not' moving like George did" that it was visually boring so they said, we need you to go forward on every solo and get the audience involved...
Imagine that it's not 1964 but the 2000's and even though you're playing a role, some kids will never know what George did, so you've got to be entertaining... you've got to put on a show "mach shau"...
So, I just acted like what I thought George would do in Hamburg...
The bosses liked it, I kept my job, but, every now and again a purist will say "Gavin doesn't act like George" and I completely agrree...
But, I still kept my job...

Tony D: Observe carefully the stage acts/mannerism of Gavin Pring. He moves on the stage a lot. Watch what he does whenever he plays guitar solo. Fab Four is trying to replicate the Beatles but Gavin Pring is "overdoing" George. Not spot on at all.

In your description you put George Trullinger as the one who passed away. He is still alive. Jerry Hoban is the one who died, and he is not the one playing Ed in the show
These fellows are great. However I've always been puzzled as to why they would include the song "Imagine" in their Beatles set list? That song came out in 1971, 2 years after the Beatles broke up. And it's not a Beatles song, but a solo Lennon song. Also, why do a solo John song but not a solo Harrison, McCartney, or a Ringo solo song in the set? Other than that, again these guys are probably the best Beatles tribute band out there.
+TheJpgr1958, the early concept of what was to become Imagine was in fact in development in the later Beatle years. Although recognisable in composition the lyrics were quite different. John later reworked the song into what we know now. So I guess they can just about get away with it!

Thanks for that, however I believe you've mistaken this for another song that appeared on Lennon's "Imagine" album, and that's "Jealous Guy." That song was written around the White album sessions, and John had titled it "Child of Nature." The music is exactly as "Jealous Guy," but of course the lyrics are different. I have, as I'm sure others do, bootleg recordings of "Child of Nature" on CD. I've never heard any recordings of what you described in regards to "Imagine." If you have any source for this, I will be happy to listen to it. But again, in regards to John having the music for "Imagine" in the "Later Beatles years," with different lyrics, I'm sure your mistaken.

No problem. But the question I asked still remains....why do they have the song "Imagine" in their Beatles set list? Now, if they wanted to do a song that was in development in the later Beatles years, the song "All Things Must Pass" by George comes to mind. I have outtakes from the "Let It Be" sessions in which you can clearly hear them working on this song. Even the McCartney's song "Teddy Boy" was worked on during this time, which John and George couldn't stand.

Hello TheJpgr1958 - The FF have been performing for around 2 decades and I think more so in the early days they experimented with slightly more obscure less well known Beatles material. I think you make some very good valid points and I'm guessing they're using a bit of crafty artistic license to include Imagine, which seems to fit nicely with their stage show and is an obvious crowd pleaser! I personally like listening to their B side and album track performances and this gives a wider perspective to captive audiences.
It says it all, that around 50+ years on so many people still love the music crafted by 4 Liverpool lads and a
supporting team of producers/engineers! We will not see their likes again!

Its scary they look exactly like real Beatles. Ringo Drummer sounds just like him . George Harrison looks like a clone same with John Lennon and Paul McCartney . Love there doing all their big hits Beatemania and Sergent pepper later on
