Great customer service from Vance & Hines sending you a custom map! I think those pipes may always be a compromise, but the DK Custom inserts may be worth a shot for not much money.
Gallop Exhaust 💯 you do lose performance with shorty shorts though. Gallop will work with you if you decide on something different from them. Good dudes.
Get DK Customs Thunder Torque Inserts. They're around $50 for two and 100% help to eliminate the decel pop, and restore low end and mid range torque and power. I doubt anyone that has tried them would tell you any different.
@@TheMotoJawn Yeah man, you will need to drill a hole in an inconspicuous place on your exhaust to insert them. DK Customs has tons of videos about the product. I drilled holes on my exhaust and installed the Thunder Torque Inserts and it all but eliminated the decel pop and increased my low end and mid range power and torque. I say do it man... you won't regret it!
Simple looking but not a very good configuration for performance. Straight -through and very different lengths results in poor balance and uneven scavenging...no matter how good it looks.
@@TheMotoJawnWinter is nearly here and time to do bike stuff. I have a loud exhaust(same as you on your SB I think [SP Concepts]) on my FXLRS. I'm wondering if I' going to be able to get an inspection sticker. Hmmm. Damn, I hate to swap back to stock just for a sticker and then back again...lotta work.

Also, isn’t there an option to dial in the decal pop within the FP3 app?
There is a decel pop dial. I donhave it turned off. But yeah the more I research the straight drag seems they will always run like that

At least they look good that's for sure 👌
@@TheMotoJawn no doubt
Do the Auto Tune. It will help!
I'm thinking about it. But I'm also seeing through research that it's just the way straight drag pipes are with the way the air flows in and out 🤷♂️

I've looked them up. Not sure there's anyways to install them. Would have to drill into the pipe
