Every time I watch these videos there’s always something to learn, in my pursuit for more metres, I had problems with early extension today, then remembered this lesson and realised my legs were running in the wrong direction 😂😂😂
Chris, you freaking nailed this explanation. I’ve had trouble trying to get friends to understand this exact sequence. You made it simplistic and are 100% spot on. Thank you!
This fits with Hogan's belief the downswing starts from the ground up. Suggest a vid on feet pressure.....directional pushing pressure rather than weight. Plays to the running at the ball issue.
IMO this is the best demonstration yet by Chris. The runner example is really good. I’m still curious after seeing your Hogans slow mo of how soon it seems that he starts the release, sooner than I thought.
Im studying you only from now on, I was subscribed to about 10 other teachers. Moved the thumb to the right ( leftie ) hit power shots with the elbows . What a transformation that’s without this leg move . 2 shots off PB but short game to blame . Flushing my irons so a big thanks 🏌️♀️
That's fantastic. Thanks for sharing. I am glad you are watching and really glad the information is helping you play better. 2 shots of PB is flat out awesome.
Hi Chris, now I understand the full-swing connection That Jimmy Ballard used to explain at the Hogan swing; Garry player used to walk after a shot when he felt he wasn't doing the full swing correctly Cause his swing was based on Hogans. Thank you!
Ben Hogan is pulling with both left and right sides of his body, as in Tug of War Ben hogan said he pushed off his right foot as if pushing off the wall of swimming pool. There are two ways to swing the golf club. We can push it (right arm straightening) or pull it. Ben Hogan pulled on the golf club with both left and right sides of his body, as in Tug of War.
Oh, this was a good one!!!
Thanks.

Thanks, it is for sure a lot sooner than what most people think. Will do a video on it shortly.

Is it a change from the trail hip pivot to the lead hip pivot when one is running at the ball? Is that what is happening?
It is really how the trail side is forcing the lead side into an acute angle change.
Hi Chris...the backswing at the very top "automatically" turns into the re-centering, right? Or is there a slight pause? Thanks. Gerry
Automatically.
Hogan's weight moved to the left heel in the transition and downswing. The right leg is getting pulled through by the left, not the other way around.
so on the downswing, are you focusing on your left knee running at the ball? Is that your swing thought?
I personally do not have any swing thoughts when playing. However, when practicing I just work on execution of movement.
I'm not sure Hogan actually meant "run the knee at the ball." What he meant was to run the knee at the target.
Just like your hips move when you throw a Frisbee.
Sounds good.
You cannot do His swing, can you? If you could would you not put a video out for us to see
