Milkdrop was the best visualizer ever! The algorithm made sure you never saw the same thing twice. Always improvising and dynamically adapting...I wish Spotify would integrate milkdrop. I'm getting so old now. So many good times playing this on a big projector on a wall for my guests!
@@DubElementMusic Even on highest resolution indicating SLOW (capital) 😛, all reg on max, no page-tearing, etc - literally everything on maximum ?!! One of the most unbelievable programs ever created. Sure, some of the 3d visualizations can look a little dated, but the Gel and Painterly visualizations still look absolutely incredible.
Ohh.. such great memories;i used to configure Advanced visualization studio back in time;spending hours looking for new beautiful mix of colors .After almost 20 years i still use winamp as my default music player;it gives me everything i need.
@Eleven Eleven - Whats so cheesy about visualizations? Considering visualizations have been used all throughout the early 2000s.. Not just the very late 90s. Funny... this coming from a schlocky fella who still hits mosh pits...lol.
I've been using Winamp since... cripes, the 90s I think. Until just last year I was still using 2.81, 'cause it was tiny and loaded up without delay. Then a Win10 update borked it. I'm using a newer version now, but it's much slower to load. Back in the day I used to screencap visuals like Milkdrop and Spunk and use them for wallpaper and backdrops for some of my work.
I came bact to winampa few month ago since there is a new winamp version which as been updated for windows. And I'm so glad ! I never understood this old programm was never overcome. Actually, to me, all the other players are just shit compare to winamp ...
+TheRealToaster2 Those arent even the best ones. There are sets y ou can download from forums from like 1999-2004 adn they have some REALLY great ones. Do a search... use F1 for help in milkdrop and rate the ones you like so they show up more.
these visualizations are so fucking cool. something about getting drunk as fuck, getting my favorite ambient or drum and bass album and just losing myself in the visuals is so euphoric.
I do this but my graphic processor needs more speed but I still get by without the high Deffinitions just cant put that out to the net without a three day render in a movie program when I mix this stuff with it self.. but these are good designs keep on there are so many presets out there ,,, I guess the reason people don't look at my stuff is they can't handle the sound track :)
i remember watching the winamp visualisation for hours when i was a kid, i vividly remember one with worms or at least what looked like worms. i am not looking through this whole video so if somebody knows a timestamp that would be cool:)
THIS, those worms that went like everywehere, because they kept getting like lines added. this milkdrop is as close as i have gotten to it. they arent really worms right, but more like a bunch of circles being added wich makes it looks like its keeping on moving
Looks like your output is ffwd... Anyway, with the tweak tool of Milkdrop, you'll have far better, slick smooth, hi-res and super detailed visualisations. Even though indicated "SLOW" it won't be ! And with a nice Nvidia, you don't risk epileptic attacks 😛
Go out of the visualization tab (e.g. click media library) and press Alt+K. The milkdrop 2 config should pop up. Click on the artist tools tabs. You can set the duration of song title animations to last longer here. You can also have the song title stay on in the corner by pressing F2 in the visualization.
Im just now hearing about milkdrop and i was looking for winamp and AIMP3 visualizations like 2 or 3 years ago. WTF GOOGLE?? Does Milk Drop work with AIMP3? Has anyone got this to work? I tried a different vis before with aimp3 and it wasnt flying...
@@larryjake7783 Can confirm, am currently high and I flipped out when I first saw the "H". It eventually became a meme for me though and I began saying "H" in a deep announcer type voice and then laughed my ass off.

Dude that was so me I had hella projectors doin the same.
Just add the url: "Linein://" to winamp and it will detect any sound coming from the computer, meaning itt will also detect spotify.
its ok but way to fast and unchill

How do you make these things? like is it a programme or what?
No.. it s just a feature of Winamp;you can set yourself anything.. colours.. moves..it s an editor.,, it s called Winamp AVS editor.
How can you have the visualisation list on a difference screen when you want to choose specific ones for a vj recording?
It really whips the llama's ass!
I'm here because Spotify doesn't have any damn visualizations.
+Alex LaPorta same lol I am playing spotify and got this on
Spotify doesn't do cheesy shit out of the 90s.

Idk about TH-cam, but This Screensaver is my fav!

Glad to see I'm not the only one!

Why don't they do visualisers anymore? iTunes still have the same crappy ones with years
this is specific, but listen to 'gerl' by STRFKR while watching the first 4 minutes of this..
How did you save the visualization session?? Please respond, as I make my own music videos as well. Thanks!
I use a video capture software personally. I recommend Open Broadcaster Software.
I use Icecream Screen Recorder.
It's 2018 - what's the modern version of this?
I was wondering the same thing

When a new song is played or repeated, the songs name will be displayed on the screen, it’s really cool if you set it up in another screen
