it was strange to see a complete flip LJN did on the 16bit era of games. They either pumped out lesser known, mild to incredibly difficult games but were fun to play.
love the first Warlock movie. And a few parts of the 2nd. But damn this game rocks!! Loved it as a kid. But so damn hard. This game is WAY better than the 2nd film it's loosely based on.

I love super nintendo with all my heart man. Cant beat Warlock, Link to the Past, Super mario kart, mario world, primal Rage, Doom, Earth Defense Force and so many other great ones. Sure do love Nintendo man

I was kid and I found the ambient too chilly for my taste (I never grew to be a horror games player) so I returned it in order to take another one. I wanted to see how this game progresses further into the story. I find the music and artwork to be even better than I remember it but the gameplay is really slow, so slow... and pretty repetitive
I had this game in my closet for the longest time and not once have I ever played it, nor seen gameplay of it. I’m surprised my parents even had this game growing up.
The Sega Genesis version was published by Acclaim, same developer though. LJN had little part in it outside of publishing. That being said, I prefer the SNES version over the Genesis one due to the better fitting ambient/dark music and colors being less dithered.
Honestly, I like the Sega Genesis version more. It's more smooth, controls a bit better and it's not censored. Oh, and the Genesis version has more sound effects.
I also would love to note the guy playing isnt some uber tryhard either. Taking hits the entire game making a realistic good playthrough. Very nice. More enjoyable than watching someone playing on godmode not getting touched at all. This is more comprehensible
My brother and I were kids at the time when this game was released. We saw the commercial for it on the VHS of leprechaun 2 the night we rented it from movie gallery. We wanted to try the game out, but sadly, we never found it anywhere. We checked Walmart, target, Kmart, everything. We even tried ordering it out of a game magazine, but it never got delivered. They kept saying "it's on its way, it's on its way, it's in the mail, it's in the mail," and it never showed up. So, we gave up. We told dad to just go ahead cancel the order and he got a refund. It was such a shame that we never got to play the game and it was very frustrating.
So those creatures for which there is no preparation... were dudes with knives? This was a wacky game to watch, but I still liked seeing a game I never played before.

This masterpiece gave me nightmares as a kid. As an adult it's artistic ambience inspires me to create art of my own
My friend as kid had this game. I used to watch him play it. It always creeped me out so I never tried it. Actually it still creeps me out a little. 😅

This game scared me as a kid with its creepy atmosphere. Never got very far though.
